Apollo Pagers Programming Instructions

Pager Models

The following Apollo pager models are shown with their programmable buttons:

  • AL801: Buttons labeled 1, 2, 3
  • AL924: Buttons labeled 1, 2, 3
  • AL812: Buttons labeled 1, 2, 3

Note: Arrows in the original document indicate which button corresponds to the labels 1, 2, and 3 for each model.

Programming Procedure

  1. To begin programming, remove the pager battery.
  2. Hold down Button 1 while reinserting the battery. Continue holding Button 1 until "PASS 0000" or the frequency screen appears on the display.
  3. Press Button 3 to navigate to the frequency screen.
  4. To change the frequency:
    • Press Button 1 to change the number (e.g., 1, 2, 3).
    • Press Button 2 to move to the next digit to the right.
  5. Once the desired frequency is set, press Button 3 to move to the next screen (Capcode).
  6. To change the Capcode, use Button 1 and Button 2.
  7. To change the Baud Rate:
    • Press Button 2 to cycle through the available rates: 512, 1200, 2400.
    • Press Button 3 when the desired Baud Rate is displayed.
  8. The screen will display "Pass 0000". This is the final screen where a password can be entered to protect the pager.
  9. To enter a password:
    • Use Button 1 to change the number.
    • Use Button 2 to move to the next digit to the right.
  10. Finally, press Button 3 until "PASS" is displayed. The pager will beep, confirming it has been programmed.
