Apollo Pagers Programming Instructions
Pager Models
The following Apollo pager models are shown with their programmable buttons:
- AL801: Buttons labeled 1, 2, 3
- AL924: Buttons labeled 1, 2, 3
- AL812: Buttons labeled 1, 2, 3
Note: Arrows in the original document indicate which button corresponds to the labels 1, 2, and 3 for each model.
Programming Procedure
- To begin programming, remove the pager battery.
- Hold down Button 1 while reinserting the battery. Continue holding Button 1 until "PASS 0000" or the frequency screen appears on the display.
- Press Button 3 to navigate to the frequency screen.
- To change the frequency:
- Press Button 1 to change the number (e.g., 1, 2, 3).
- Press Button 2 to move to the next digit to the right.
- Once the desired frequency is set, press Button 3 to move to the next screen (Capcode).
- To change the Capcode, use Button 1 and Button 2.
- To change the Baud Rate:
- Press Button 2 to cycle through the available rates: 512, 1200, 2400.
- Press Button 3 when the desired Baud Rate is displayed.
- The screen will display "Pass 0000". This is the final screen where a password can be entered to protect the pager.
- To enter a password:
- Use Button 1 to change the number.
- Use Button 2 to move to the next digit to the right.
- Finally, press Button 3 until "PASS" is displayed. The pager will beep, confirming it has been programmed.
