Merkury Innovations Smart Home Control Kit
This document provides instructions for setting up and using the Merkury Innovations Smart Home Control Kit, which includes a Smart HD Camera, Color Smart LED Bulbs, and a Wi-Fi Energy Meter Plug.

Getting Started Guide
The Merkury Home Bundle app allows seamless control of your smart devices. You can switch between controlling bulbs and plugs (using the Geeni app) and cameras (using the Merkury Smart Camera app).
- Download the "Merkury Home Bundle" app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Open the "Merkury Home Bundle" app. To use your camera, press "Camera" to launch the Merkury Smart Camera app. To use your bulbs and plugs, press "Bulbs and Plugs" to launch the Geeni app.

Smart Camera
Product Description: A compact, white security camera with a black lens, a visible microphone, and a rotatable base. It offers night vision, motion detection, two-way audio, and the ability to store video on a Micro SD card.

Connection Methods:
Connecting via Smart Link Configuration:
- In the app, select "Wi-Fi Smart Link".
- Enter your home network name and password, then select "Next".
- The camera will confirm "Configuration received," then "Wi-Fi connecting." This process takes 30-60 seconds, concluding with "Wi-Fi connected."
- Upon successful connection, the camera ID is added to the Device List. Select the camera to view the live feed.
Connecting via Access Point (AP) Mode - Manual Configuration:
- Use the reset pin to press and hold the reset button for 2-3 seconds, then release to enter AP Mode. The device will announce "Access point establishing," followed by "Access point established" after 15-30 seconds.
- Go to your phone's Wi-Fi settings and connect to the camera's hotspot, typically named "MV" followed by the camera's ID.
- Return to the Merkury app, go to the Device List, and select "Add Manually".
- Select "LAN Search".
- The camera should appear shortly. Select it and press "Add Device".
Connecting via Router (Alternative Method):
- Navigate to the Settings page within the app.
- Select the camera from the dropdown list and go to the Network settings page.
- Choose "Connect via Router", enter your Home Wi-Fi name and password, and press "Save".
- The camera will announce "Wi-Fi connecting" and then "Wi-Fi connected" after approximately 30 seconds.
- The camera ID will be added to the Device List page. Select the camera to view the live video feed.
Renaming Your Device: From the main device list, click on a device, press the settings icon (represented by a "three dots" icon), select "Modify Device Name" (or "Modify Group Name"), and enter a new, familiar name.
Resetting Your Device: For cameras, long-press the power button for 3 seconds. For other devices like plugs, a single reset (off/on 3 times) accesses Magic Mode (fast blinking), and a second reset (off/on 3 times) accesses AP Hotspot Mode (slow blinking).
Smart Bulb
Warnings:
- RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK OR BURNS - Use in dry locations only.
- Do not use outdoors, with wet hands, or on wet/damp surfaces.
- Not for use in totally enclosed luminaires.
- Do not use with dimmers.
- Ensure the LED bulb's voltage is compatible with your country's mains electricity before connecting to a bulb holder.
- Ensure the bulb base matches the bulb holder.
Setup:
- Search for the "Merkury Home Bundle" app in the App Store or Google Play. Choose "Bulbs & Plugs" to be directed to the "Geeni" app.
- Register an account on the Geeni app by entering your mobile number, a verification code, and creating a password.
- Screw in the bulb. Ensure your mobile device is connected to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (5GHz networks are not supported).
- Follow the app's instructions for adding the device, which may involve ensuring the bulb flashes quickly (Magic Mode) or slowly (AP Mode) and entering Wi-Fi credentials.
Smart Plug
Setup:
- Download the "Merkury Home Bundle" app from the App Store or Google Play. Choose "Bulbs & Plugs" to be directed to the "Geeni" app.
- Register an account on the Geeni app.
- Plug the device into a wall outlet. Ensure your mobile device is connected to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (5GHz networks are not supported).
- Follow the app's instructions for connecting the plug, which may involve using Smart Link or Access Point (AP) mode, similar to the camera and bulb setup. This typically involves pressing a reset button to initiate pairing mode.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Can I share with family and friends? Yes, you can share access to your devices with family and friends via the Geeni app's "Device Sharing" feature. The other user must have the Geeni app downloaded and an account created.
- Can I group multiple Geeni devices together? Yes, you can group devices by room, location, or any other criteria. Devices can belong to multiple groups. To group, click on a device from the main list, access advanced settings (via the "three dots" icon), and select "Create Group".
- How do I reset my device? For bulbs, turn them off and on 3 times. For plugs, long-press the power button for 3 seconds. A single reset (off/on 3 times) enters Magic Mode (fast blinking). A second reset (off/on 3 times) enters AP Hotspot Mode (slow blinking).
