Introduction
This document provides detailed instructions for assembling the Yokomo YR-4M2 PRO Competition Touring Car Kit. It covers all necessary tools, parts, and step-by-step procedures to ensure a successful build. Follow these instructions carefully to achieve optimal performance from your touring car.
Required Tools & Accessories
Before beginning assembly, gather the following tools:
- Screwdrivers (Phillips, small and large)
- Needle nose pliers
- Cutting pliers
- Nut driver (7.0mm)
- Cutting knife (X-Acto knife)
- CA glue (Cyanoacrylate glue)
- Sandpaper
- Scissors
- 2mm Hex driver
- Motor spray
- Loctite or rubber cement
Important Note: The graphite parts may have sharp edges. Smooth all edges with fine-grit sandpaper (e.g., #200 or #400) dipped in water for safe handling.
Additional Items for Running
To operate the car, you will need:
- Two-channel R/C surface radio system (Servo, Receiver, Transmitter)
- Electronic speed control
- 7.2V 6-cell NiCad battery pack
- NiCad battery charger
- Motor
- Recommended shock oil (specific weights for warm and cold weather are provided in the manual)
