EDB01 Reflective Beam Smoke Detector

Product Overview

The EDB01 Reflective Beam Smoke Detector is a single unit comprising a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter projects a cone-shaped beam of modulated infra-red light to prisms. An alarm condition is determined when the signal is analyzed to reach up to the set sensitivity levels for smoke detection.

The unit is designed for wall mounting. When mounted, the beam projects approximately 0.3m to 0.6m below and parallel to the ceiling. The maximum lateral range is 7.5m either side of the beam. The effective operating distance ranges from 10m to 100m.

The detector unit has the following approximate dimensions (in mm): Height: 172, Width: 160, Depth: 126. The prism unit has dimensions of approximately 100mm x 100mm x 19.5mm. The connection to the FACP (Fire Alarm Control Panel) involves a 1.2mm x 4 wire configuration.

Operating Range

The standard operating range is 10M to 100M. This range is achieved using either one prism for distances of 10m to 50m, or four prisms for distances of 50m to 100m.
