Installation Instructions for M3MY Carplay Decoding Module
Step 1: Pry Open Right Side Panel
Use a crowbar to pry open the right side panel. Image depicts a red crowbar being used on the car's interior panel.
Step 2: Pry Open Wiring Harness Clamp

Step 3: Unscrew Passenger Compartment Screws
Unscrew the screws on the bottom two sides of the passenger compartment. Image shows a drill being used to unscrew fasteners in the passenger compartment.
Step 4: Remove Dashboard Board
Remove the board after unplugging the socket lights and warning horn plugs. Image shows hands disconnecting electrical connectors and a warning light plug.
Step 5: Connect LVDS Signal Line
Take out the main unit and connect the LVDS signal line by color. Image shows colored LVDS cables (blue and green) being connected to the main unit.
Step 6: Replace Original LVDS Signal Line
Pull out the original LVDS signal line of the vehicle and quickly insert our line 1. Image shows a blue LVDS connector being replaced with a new cable.
Step 7: Connect Main Unit LVDS Cable & Signal Receiver
Connect the No. 2 LVDS signal cable of the main unit to the unplugged plug of the original vehicle. Twist the signal receiver onto the decoder. Image shows the LVDS cable connection and the signal receiver being attached to the decoder.
Step 8: Intel Connection Method
Unplug the power cord of the original car, connect it to the power cord adapter of the product, and then insert the power cord of the product into the power supply interface of the original car. Note: Unplug the original vehicle wiring harness as soon as possible; leaving it unplugged for too long may cause an abnormal alarm prompt. Diagrams highlight the power connections for the Intel method.
Step 9: AMD Connection Method
Unplug the power cord of the original vehicle, connect it to the power cord adapter of the product, and then insert the power cord of the product into the power supply interface of the original vehicle. Then insert the product protocol adapter into the reserved protocol interface of the original vehicle (find the corresponding pin wire, which is usually empty). Diagrams illustrate the AMD connection points and interfaces.
Step 10: Connect AMD Interfaces
Connect the corresponding interface after all the wires on the original vehicle are connected (by color). Note: The original vehicle wiring harness should be plugged back in as soon as possible after being unplugged. There will be an abnormal alarm prompt after a long time. Diagrams show the connected interfaces for the AMD connection method.
Step 11: Secure Main Unit
Use double-sided tape to secure the main unit. Image shows the main unit with double-sided tape applied.
Step 12: Position and Install Main Unit
Place the main unit in this position and press it firmly (be careful not to block the screw holes). Image shows the main unit being placed into its mounting position.
Step 13: Configure DIP Switches and Restart
Adjust the dip code to 34568 for the first installation. Press and hold the double rollers on the steering wheel for 15 seconds. After a successful restart, if the system does not respond to touch, adjust the dip code to 124568 and press and hold the double rollers of the steering wheel for 15 seconds. Images show DIP switch settings and the Tesla steering wheel controls.
Final Restart Procedure
Finally, hold down the two wheels on the steering wheel for more than 15 seconds to restart the car system, or click 'Restart the car system' on the screen. Image shows the Tesla steering wheel with controls highlighted.
