Bose Bass Module 700 Setup Guide
Choosing Your Setup Method
Your setup method depends on the Bose soundbar or speaker you have:
- Bose Soundbar 500, Bose Soundbar 700, or Bose Smart Soundbar 300: See page 4.
- Bose TV Speaker (or alternate wired setup for soundbars): See page 5.
- SoundTouch 300 soundbar: See page 6.
Setting Up with Bose Soundbar 500, 700, or Smart Soundbar 300
Step 1: Place the Bass Module
Place the bass module in your room. Ensure it is positioned at least 1 to 3 feet (0.3 to 0.9 meters) away from other wireless equipment to minimize interference.

Step 2: Set Up Using the Bose Music App
Download the Bose Music app from the App Store or Google Play. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your soundbar and bass module.
Instructions:
- A. In the Bose Music app, from the My Bose screen, tap your soundbar.
- B. Tap the soundbar image in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- C. Tap Settings > Accessory Speakers > Add Bose Accessory Speakers.
If you are new to the Bose Music app, download it and follow the app instructions to set up your soundbar and bass module.
Setting Up with Bose TV Speaker
Step 1: Place the Bass Module
Place the bass module in your room. Ensure it is positioned at least 1 to 3 feet (0.3 to 0.9 meters) away from other wireless equipment to minimize interference.

Step 2: Connect the Bass Module to Power
Connect the bass module to a power outlet. The bass module powers on automatically once connected.

Step 3: Connect the Bass Module to the Speaker
Connect a 3.5 mm audio cable (not provided) from the bass module's 'BASS IN' connector to the Bose TV Speaker's 'BASS' connector. Do not use the 'AUX IN' connector.

Note: If you do not have a 3.5 mm audio cable, visit worldwide.Bose.com/Support/BASS700 to purchase a 15 ft. (4.5 m) cable or find one at a local electronics store.
Setting Up with SoundTouch 300 Soundbar
Step 1: Place the Bass Module
Place the bass module in your room. Ensure it is positioned at least 1 to 3 feet (0.3 to 0.9 meters) away from other wireless equipment to minimize interference.

Step 2: Connect the Bass Module to Power
Connect the bass module to a power outlet. The bass module powers on automatically once connected.

Step 3: Connect the Bass Module to the Soundbar
A. On your SoundTouch 300 remote control, press the [Bose logo button].
B. Press and hold the 7 button until the indicator light on the soundbar blinks white. Once the bass module connects, you will hear a tone, and the indicator light will glow white.
Note: Connecting may take several minutes.
Step 4: Set Up ADAPTiQ Audio Calibration
A. Connect the ADAPTiQ headset (included with the soundbar) to the soundbar's [ADAPTiQ connector].
B. Place the headset on your head.

Step 5: Run ADAPTiQ Audio Calibration
A. On your SoundTouch 300 remote control, press the [Bose logo button].
B. Press and hold the 8 button until the indicator lights on the soundbar glow green.
Note: To cycle through languages, press the [up arrow] and [down arrow] on the navigation pad.
