1. Introduction
This user manual provides guidance on the functions and usage of the MLA210 Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Please read and follow all instructions and notes carefully. Contact McGrathLocks customer service for any questions not covered or for non-routine service.
1.2 Safety Warnings
Note: Follow all instructions marked with this warning icon to prevent injury or damage.
- Use the lock only as described in this manual.
- Ensure all parts are present before installation. Contact customer service if any parts are missing.
- In factory default status, the lock is in an 'always open' state. After installation, power on the lock with batteries or set an administrator and pair it with the app to change the mode to 'private'.
- The handle direction is reversible. Refer to installation steps for adjustments.
- A protective film covers the touch panel; this can be removed if desired.
- Use only four AAA alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries from different brands. Do not insert any objects other than batteries into the lock.
- Ensure all mounting surfaces are flat and level. Installation on uneven surfaces may cause malfunction.
- Never apply cleaners directly to the lock. Use only clean water and a mild cleaner on a soft cloth.
- Potential Shock Warning: Prevent water or liquids from entering the lock's electrical components.
- The lock is designed to be used with the TT Lock app for full functionality.
Preparing to Install:
1.1 Line Drawing
To prepare for installation, draw a horizontal center line on the door at 1 meter from the ground. Use the provided hole template, aligning its center line with the door's horizontal center line, and mark the hole locations.
1.2 Determining Lever Handing
The hand of the door is determined from the secure side, which is the side from which you initially unlock and enter the space.
- Left Push: Door opens inwards to the left.
- Right Push: Door opens inwards to the right.
- Left Pull: Door opens outwards to the left.
- Right Pull: Door opens outwards to the right.

User Manual - MLA210 Digital Lock
Back Panel Components:
- Keypad: Contains numeric keys (0-9), *, #, and an induction area for RFID cards.
- Cylinder Position: Location for the mechanical key cylinder.
- USB Position: Emergency power input port.
- Back Handle: For operating the lock from the interior.
- Battery Box: Houses the 4 AAA batteries.
Reset to Factory State:
To reset the lock to its factory default settings, long-press the reset button for 2 seconds until two beeps are heard. The default passcode is 123456. In the factory state, the lock remains in an 'always open' mode until powered on, at which point the motor resets and the handle becomes operational.
Installation Steps:
- Assemble the Mortise: Insert the mortise (C) into the pre-drilled slot on the door, aligning it with the template markings.
- Assemble the Cylinder: Secure the cylinder (K) by passing a long screw through the designated hole on the faceplate.
- Assemble the Front Panel: Attach the front panel (a) to the exterior side of the door.
- Assemble the Back Panel: Secure the back panel (b) to the front panel using the two long assemble screws (f).
- Assemble the Strike and Box: Insert the strike box (e) into the door frame slot and fix the strike plate (d) with screws (h).
- Test with Mechanical Key: Insert the mechanical key (m) and test the lock's operation. Adjust the position if it feels stiff.
- Test the Lock: Install 4 AAA alkaline batteries and test the lock using the factory passcode or the TT Lock app.
- Adjust the Lock Panel: If the lock is too tight or misaligned, adjust the position of the lock panel or screws as needed.
Change Handle Direction:
1. Adjust the Front Handle Direction:
- Use the provided allen key to remove the screw from the handle head.
- Remove the handle.
- Rotate the handle 180 degrees to achieve the desired opening direction (Right Open or Left Open).
- Re-tighten the screw with the allen key.
- Adjust the clutch direction according to the indicator on the clutch mechanism.
2. Adjust the Back Handle Direction:
- Use the provided allen key to remove the screw from the handle head.
- Remove the handle.
- Rotate the handle 180 degrees to achieve the desired opening direction.
- Re-tighten the screw with the allen key.
- Adjust the handle if it feels too tight.

The MLA210 Digital Lock integrates with the TT Lock app for enhanced functionality:
- Touch to Unlock: Unlock the door by touching the lock's interface.
