Installation and Usage

Application

The light is used for illumination in stationary, closed electrical cabinets according to DIN EN 61439-1/DIN EN 61439-2.

Safety Considerations

  • Installation must only be performed by qualified electrical technicians, observing national power-supply guidelines (IEC 60364).
  • For lamps with magnetic fixing, verify the magnet's holding power is adequate for the application with the connection cable.
  • The lamp must be mounted stationary.
  • With magnetic fixing, the lamp can be flexibly mounted in the electrical cabinet.
  • Strictly observe the technical specifications on the type plate.
  • No changes or modifications are permitted on the device.
  • In case of apparent damage or malfunction, do not repair or operate the device. Dispose of the device.
  • The light source is not replaceable.
  • The lamp must not be used as a hand lamp.
  • The lamp must not be used for household lighting.

Commissioning the Lamp with Motion Detector

The test run is activated by disconnecting from mains and then reconnecting. The lamp flashes briefly twice and then switches off again. Upon reactivation of the motion detector, the lamp switches on for 5 seconds and then switches off again; the lamp is ready for operation.
