Controller Layout
The Joy-Con controller features the following buttons and components:
- Left Joy-Con: Analog stick, directional buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right), SL button, SR button, Capture button, -, HOME button, L button, ZL button, SL/SR rail.
- Right Joy-Con: Analog stick, A, B, X, Y buttons, +, HOME button, R button, ZR button, SL button, SR button, SL/SR rail.

Getting Started
Attaching Joy-Con Controllers
Slide the Joy-Con controllers onto the sides of the Nintendo Switch console until they click into place.
Detaching Joy-Con Controllers
Press and hold the small round button on the back of each Joy-Con controller and slide it upwards to detach.
Functions
Wireless Connection
Joy-Con controllers can be used wirelessly. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your Nintendo Switch console.
Charging
Attach the Joy-Con controllers to the console to charge them. Alternatively, use the Joy-Con Charging Grip (sold separately).
Motion Control
The Joy-Con controllers feature built-in motion sensors for games that utilize motion controls.
HD Rumble
Experience immersive gameplay with the HD Rumble feature, providing detailed tactile feedback.
IR Motion Camera (Right Joy-Con only)
The IR Motion Camera can detect the shape, movement, and distance of objects in supported games.
Pairing and Connecting
Pairing with Nintendo Switch
When attached to the console, the Joy-Cons are automatically paired. For wireless use, navigate to Controllers and Sensors > Change Grip/Order on the console's HOME Menu.
Connecting to PC
Joy-Cons can be connected to a PC via Bluetooth or a USB cable. Refer to Nintendo's official support for detailed instructions.
Troubleshooting
Controller Not Responding
Ensure the Joy-Con is charged and properly paired. Try restarting the console and the Joy-Con.
Connection Issues
Check for wireless interference. Ensure the Joy-Con is within range of the console. Update the console's system software.
