TIER 1 ADVANCED POWER STRIP
Model: APS/T105USB
The Greenlite TIER 1 Advanced Power Strip provides surge protection, convenient outlet configurations, and USB charging capabilities for your electronic devices.
Product Features
The Tier 1 Advanced Power Strip offers a combination of always-on, switched, and USB outlets, along with essential protection features.
Device Layout Description
The power strip features an ON/OFF switch with a resettable circuit breaker at the top. Above the outlets, there are indicator lights labeled 'Surge and Grounded Indicator Lights'. It has two 'ALWAYS ON OUTLETS' (2), one 'CONTROL OUTLET', and two 'SWITCHED OUTLETS' (2). It also includes one USB-A PORT and one USB-C PORT.
Power Connections
This power strip must be plugged directly into a grounded electrical receptacle. All connected devices must also be plugged directly into the power strip. Using an extension cord, adapter, or another power strip in conjunction with this device will void all warranties.
LED Indicators
- Ground: Illuminated when the power strip is correctly grounded. If not illuminated, there is a grounding issue requiring an electrician's attention. Connecting to an improperly grounded receptacle voids warranties.
- Surge Protection: Illuminated when surge protection is functioning normally. If not illuminated, the power strip must be replaced.
Outlet Types
- Control Outlet: This single outlet controls the switched outlets. Plug a primary device like a computer or television into this outlet.
- Switched Outlets: Two outlets that are automatically controlled by the Control Outlet. Plug in peripheral devices such as monitors, printers, or DVD players here.
- Always On Outlets: Two outlets that remain powered on and are controlled only by the main ON/OFF switch. Suitable for devices like fax machines or cordless phones that should not be turned off by the control outlet.
USB Ports
- USB-A Port: Features intelligent charging technology to detect and deliver ideal output up to 2.1A per port. Suitable for charging various devices like cellphones, tablets, power banks, and more.
- USB-C Port: Provides charging up to 15W. Compatible with cellphones, tablets, power banks, and most USB-C devices. Note: This port does not support devices requiring 9-22V charging voltage.
Resettable Circuit Breaker
This feature provides protection for all outlets on the power strip. If no devices are powered or indicator lights are off, press the resettable circuit breaker to reactivate power. The breaker will safely shut off all power in case of overloading.

Installation and Operation
The power strip is designed for easy setup and use.
- Always On Outlets: Two outlets are controlled solely by the ON/OFF switch, not the Control Outlet. Use these for devices that require continuous power, such as fax machines or cordless phones.
- Control Outlet: Plug the main controlling device (e.g., computer or TV) into this outlet. When this device is turned off, the Tier 1 Advanced Power Strip will automatically turn off any devices plugged into the Switched Outlets.
- Switched Outlets: Two outlets that are controlled by the Control Outlet. Connect peripheral devices like printers, game consoles, or DVD players here.
Setup Steps:
- Plug the Tier 1 Advanced Power Strip into a properly grounded wall outlet.
- Press the ON/OFF switch to the RESET (on) position. The GROUND and SURGE PROTECTION lights should illuminate, indicating proper function.
Troubleshooting Switched Outlets:
- If peripheral devices plugged into the Switched Outlets do not turn on:
- Ensure the device plugged into the Control Outlet is turned ON.
- Turn "off" the device plugged into the Control Outlet. If the Switched Outlets then turn "off", the system is functioning correctly.
Note: When the Control Outlet is turned off, the Switched Outlets remain active for approximately 10 seconds before powering down.
