Mechanical Keyboard with Modular Switches

The GMMK is the world's first mechanical keyboard featuring hot-swappable switches for Cherry, Gateron, and Kailh branded switches. This allows users to easily try out different switches, replace old ones, and match various types of mechanical keyboard switches without requiring technical skills like soldering.

With the GMMK, you can simply pop out a switch like a keycap and mix and match to test and use any combination of switches. It features a sandblasted aluminum faceplate, full N-Key Rollover (NKRO), RGB LED backlighting with multiple modes, modular switches, double-shot injection keycaps, and a minimalistic design. The GMMK revolutionizes the mechanical keyboard market by giving users full control without needing advanced technical experience.

Thank you for purchasing the GMMK Mechanical Keyboard and welcome to the Glorious Legion.

How to Change Switches and Keycaps

  1. Remove Keycap: Use the keycap puller tool to clamp onto a keycap and pull upwards. The switch may come out with the keycap if it's secured tightly. For longer keys like the spacebar, pull from the middle.
  2. Remove Switch: Use the switch puller tool. Push in the two tabs on the top and bottom of the switch, then pull upwards to remove it from the keyboard case. Be cautious to avoid scratching the keyboard case.
  3. Readjust Pins: Ensure the new switch is compatible. Inspect the copper pins at the bottom of the switch to ensure they are straight. Bent pins can be straightened with tweezers or pliers.
  4. Insert Switch: Align the switch with the holes on the keyboard and insert it straight down. There should be minimal resistance. To test, you can open a text editor or enable the keyboard's 'REACTIVE MODE' for LEDs. If the switch doesn't light up or register, it may not be inserted correctly; remove and re-insert, ensuring pins are straight. It is safe to swap switches while the keyboard is plugged in.
  5. Insert Keycap: Once the switch is confirmed to be working, snap the appropriate keycap back onto the switch.

Mechanical Switch Requirements

The GMMK is designed to work with the following switch brands: Cherry, Gateron, and Kailh. Other brands may fit but might have a looser or tighter fit. Several types of Cherry, Gateron, and Kailh switches are available.
