Quick Start Guide
USBC-6950UE Dual 4K Display Adapter
Windows Installation and Setup
- Download and install the DisplayLink Manager software from the Plugable drivers page: https://plugable.com/pages/displaylink
- Once installation is complete, restart your computer.
- Connect the Plugable USBC-6950UE adapter to an available USB-C or USB-A port on your computer. (Use the included USB-C to USB-A adapter if needed.)
- Connect your monitors to the adapter using HDMI or DisplayPort cables.
- Power on the monitors and select the correct input on each display.
- Open Display settings (right-click the desktop ➡️ Display settings) and select Extend these displays under Multiple displays.
- Adjust the resolution and refresh rate as desired.
- (Optional Ethernet) Use an Ethernet cable to connect your network to the adapter's RJ45 port for wired networking.
ChromeOS Installation and Setup
- Connect the adapter to a USB-C port on your Chromebook.
- Connect the displays using HDMI or DisplayPort cables.
- ChromeOS will automatically detect the connected displays.
- Open Settings ➡️ Device ➡️ Displays to extend or mirror your desktop and adjust resolution.
macOS limited and not recommended
This adapter is intended for Windows and ChromeOS. It is not recommended for macOS. If used on a Mac, install and run the DisplayLink Manager app and grant required permissions.
Notes
- Official support: Windows 10 or newer and ChromeOS 100 or newer. macOS not recommended. Linux not supported.
- DisplayLink driver is required for Windows.
- Supports up to two external displays at 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz each, depending on system performance and display capabilities.
- Not intended for 3D gaming, CAD, VR, or other GPU-intensive workloads.
- The adapter is bus-powered and does not provide laptop charging.
- HDCP and HDR not supported.
