5. General Safety Warnings for Electric Tools

Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow all warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury. Keep all warnings and instructions for future reference. The term "electric tool" in the warnings means your mains-powered (corded) electric tool or battery-powered (cordless) electric tool.

5.1 Working Area

  • Keep your work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas increase the risk of accidents.
  • Do not operate electric tools in potentially explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Electric tools produce sparks which may ignite dust or fumes.
  • Keep children and bystanders away when operating an electric tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.

5.2 Electrical Safety

  • Always check that the supply voltage matches the voltage on the type plate.
  • The plugs of electric tools must match the sockets. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use adapter plugs with earthed electric tools. Unmodified plugs and matching sockets will reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges, or refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed.
  • Do not expose electric tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering an electric tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
  • Handle the cable with care. Never carry the tool by the cable or yank the cable to disconnect it from the socket. Keep the cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges, and moving parts. Damaged or tangled cables increase the risk of electric shock.
  • When operating an electric tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Using a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock. If using a retractable cord, it must be fully unwound to prevent overheating.
  • If operating an electric tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected power supply. Using an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

5.3 Personal Safety

  • Be alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating an electric tool. Do not use the electric tool when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention while operating electric tools may result in serious personal injury.
  • Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment, such as a dust mask, non-slip safety footwear, hard hat, or hearing protection used for the appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
  • Prevent unintentional starting. Make sure the switch is in the off-position when plugging in. Carrying electric tools with your finger on the switch or energizing electric tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
  • Before starting the tool, remove any adjusting keys or wrenches. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the electric tool may result in personal injury.
  • Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the electric tool in unexpected situations.
  • Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewelry, or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
  • If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.

5.4 Using and Caring for Electric Tools

  • Do not force the electric tool. Use the correct electric tool for your application. The correct electric tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
  • Do not use the electric tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any electric tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
  • Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing electric tools. These preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the electric tool accidentally.
  • Store idle electric tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the electric tool or these instructions to operate the electric tool. Electric tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
  • Maintain electric tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the electric tool’s operation. If damaged, have the electric tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained electric tools.
  • Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
  • Use the electric tool, accessories and bit tools, etc., in accordance with these instructions and in the manner intended for the particular type of electric tool, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the electric tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

5.5 Service

  • Have your electric tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the electric tool is maintained.

6. Additional Safety Instructions

  • Ensure the power cord is always behind you and sufficiently far from the device while working.
  • When working on slopes, always stand firmly and work from side to side. Pay particular attention when changing direction on slopes.
  • When using the blower, move at a moderate pace. DO NOT RUN.
  • Never point the air inlet/outlet at people or animals.
  • Never point the air inlet/outlet at people or animals.
  • The blower/vacuum must not be used or started until it is fully assembled.
  • Ensure the power cord is always behind you and sufficiently far from the device while working.
  • If the power cord or extension cord is damaged while working, immediately disconnect the blower from the mains.
  • Never use the mains power cord as a handle to lift or carry the device.
  • Always disconnect the device from the mains in the following cases:
    • When the blower is not in use, is being carried or transported, or is left unattended.
    • When inspecting, cleaning, or clearing blockages in the device.
    • When cleaning the device, performing maintenance, or attaching accessories.
    • If the device hits an object or begins to vibrate unusually.
  • Use the blower in daylight or with adequate lighting.
  • Remember that the energy generated by the electric device can destabilize your stance. Therefore, when working with the device, ensure your feet are firmly on the ground and your body is well-balanced.
  • Never operate the blower on wet grass.
  • Using the blower on slopes: Do not work on excessively steep slopes.
  • When working on a slope, use the blower as follows:
    • Always stand horizontally to the slope and ensure both your feet are stable.
    • When working on a slope, pay particular attention when changing direction.
  • Keep the machine's air vents unobstructed and clean at all times.
  • Never point the air inlet/outlet at people or animals.

7. Assembly

Your new blower/vacuum requires minimal assembly and is ready for use.

Warning: If any part is missing or damaged, do not connect the machine to the power supply until the missing or damaged part has been replaced.

7.1 Tube Assembly (Fig. 1, 2)

  1. Slide the upper tube into the motor housing, then tighten the screws on both sides and check that the tube is firmly attached to the motor housing.
  2. Insert the lower tube into the upper tube and push them together until they are firmly joined. Finally, tighten the screws on both sides.

7.2 Shoulder Strap

Attach the shoulder strap (8) to the prepared hook on the handle. Adjust the shoulder strap to the desired length by sliding the buckle forward or backward.

7.3 Collection Bag (Fig. 3)

Before attaching the collection bag, ensure that the blower/vacuum function selector lever operates smoothly and is not clogged with debris from previous use. Attach the hook of the collection bag to the tube and then insert the debris inlet of the collection bag into the corresponding opening.

8. Operation

8.1 Steps Before Operation

Operate the device only after complete assembly. Before each use, check the power cord for signs of damage. The power cord must not be used under any circumstances if it shows signs of damage. Ensure that the blower/vacuum is connected only to standard sockets with an alternating current voltage of up to 230-240 V.

8.2 Switching On and Off (Fig. 4)

To start the motor, press the main switch (9). To stop the machine, simply release the main switch (9).

8.3 Use / Operation

  • The easiest way to use the blower/vacuum is to place the shoulder strap comfortably over your shoulder and hold the rear handle at hip height, so that most of the tool's weight rests on the wheels.
  • When using the blower/vacuum to collect leaves, it is best to guide it on the wheels. This ensures the blower/vacuum is at an ideal height above the ground. The blower/vacuum is designed solely for collecting leaves. To prevent damage not covered by warranty, do not use it to collect stones or other hard materials.
  • When using the tool to blow leaves, always work away from fixed objects such as walls, fences, etc. When working, do not bring the blower/vacuum tube too close to the leaves. The tool will be more effective if you hold it at a certain distance from the leaves and blow the leaves forward.

8.4 Switching Operating Mode (Fig. 5)

To switch the tool from blowing mode to vacuuming mode, turn it off using the main switch and move the blower/suction function selector lever to the desired position.

8.5 Collection Bag

Note: Before removing and emptying the collection bag, ensure the tool is disconnected from the power supply.

Open the collection bag by simply using the zipper, empty it, and close the zipper again. With the collection bag open, you can also check the function of the blower/vacuum slider. If something is blocking the tool, check this function and remove the blockage.
