Controls Overview

Familiarize yourself with the controls of your Recon Cloud controller.

Controller Diagram:

Top Face: Includes D-pad, View/Share buttons, Menu button, Xbox button, Mode Select button, EQ button, Volume (+/-) buttons, Chat (+/-) buttons, and face buttons (Y, X, B, A).

Left Side: Left thumbstick, Left trigger (LT), Left bumper (LB).

Right Side: Right thumbstick, Right trigger (RT), Right bumper (RB).

Bottom: 3.5mm headset jack, USB-C port.

Back: Rear Action Buttons (Left and Right).

Top Center: Feature Level indicator lights.

Key Features and Controls:

  • EQ: Tune your game audio.
  • MIC MONITORING: Alters the level of your voice in your headset on Xbox.
  • VOLUME: Alters the volume on Xbox.
  • SUPERHUMAN HEARING: Pinpoint quiet audio cues like enemy footsteps and weapon reloads.
  • MODE: Cycles features on the vitals dashboard.
  • XBOX CONTROLS: Focus your View, Share your game content and access Menus on Xbox.
  • PAIRING BUTTON: Connect to Android® smart devices for mobile gaming.
  • USB-C CABLE PORT: For charging and connection to Xbox or PC.
  • RIGHT ACTION BUTTON: PRO-AIM™, or map to any button.
  • 3.5 MM HEADSET CONNECTION: (only active in wired mode)
  • FEATURE LEVEL: Indicates the active feature option.
  • BUTTON MAPPING: Map Buttons and select profiles.
  • PRO-AIM™ FOCUS MODE: Set your right-stick sensitivity level.
  • CHAT: Alters the level of game and chat audio on Xbox.
  • MIC MUTE: Toggle your Mic status on Xbox.
  • SELECT: Cycles options for each feature.
  • XBOX BUTTON: Open guide on Xbox and access Game bar on Windows 10/11.
  • MODE SWITCH: Switch between wired and wireless communication.
  • CLIP MOUNT: Mount the mobile phone clip here.
  • LEFT ACTION BUTTON: Map to any button.

Setup for Bluetooth®

4.ENABLE BLUETOOTH AND TAP THE DEVICE ENTRY TO PAIR

On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth. Find "Turtle Beach RECON CLOUD" in the list of devices and tap to connect. The status will change to "Connected".

When the controller is connected wirelessly to a mobile device, PRO-AIM™ and Action Button profiles are available.

Smartphone Clip Attachment

1.SECURELY ATTACH THE CLIP TO THE CONTROLLER AND ADJUST THE ANGLE

Diagrams show how to attach the smartphone clip to the top of the controller and adjust its angle. The clip is designed to hold smartphones with a width between 47mm (MIN) and 90mm (MAX).

2.ATTACH YOUR PAIRED SMARTPHONE

Place your paired smartphone into the attached clip.

The clip can also be detached and used as a tabletop smartphone stand.

Setup for Xbox

1.

Ensure the controller's Mode Switch is set to the wired position.

Connect the USB-C end of the supplied cable to the controller's USB-C port.

Connect the USB-A end of the cable to a USB port on your Xbox console.

Setup for PC

1.

Ensure the controller's Mode Switch is set to the wired position.

Connect the USB-C end of the supplied cable to the controller's USB-C port.

Connect the USB-A end of the cable to a USB port on your PC.

All wired audio features will work on PC, except for Chat Mix when a 3.5mm headset is connected.

3.5mm Headset Connection

When a 3.5mm headset is connected, the Volume, Chat, Mic Monitoring, and Mic Mute controls on the controller will adjust the corresponding settings on your Xbox.

Charging the Controller

Charge your Recon Cloud controller using the supplied USB-C cable. The controller can be charged in both wired and wireless modes during use.

Indicator lights show charging status: 0-5% (charging), Charged (fully charged).

Dashboard Status

The feature level indicator lights on the controller show the status of active features. Press the MODE button to cycle through features and the SELECT button to cycle through feature options.

Quick-Action Button Mapping

You can map any of the controller buttons to the Left and Right Quick-Action Buttons on the back of the controller.

Activate Mapping Mode: Press the MODE button, then the SELECT button, then hold the MODE button for 2 seconds.

Select Quick-Action Button to Configure: Press the Quick-Action Button you wish to map (Left or Right).

Select Button to Assign: Press any button on the controller to assign its function to the selected Quick-Action Button.

Save Your Assignment: Press and hold the Quick-Action Button again for 2 seconds to save the mapping.

Your controller is now ready to use with your custom mappings. New button mappings overwrite old ones. To delete a button mapping, repeat the process and at Step 5, press the Quick-Action Button again.

Pro-Aim™ Focus Mode

When the PRO-AIM™ button is pressed and held, the sensitivity of the right stick will decrease to the set level. The higher the level, the greater the reduction in sensitivity.

PRO-AIM™ works at the same time as your button mappings. To achieve your desired setup, you can either set PRO-AIM™ to OFF or clear the mapping from the right Quick-Action Button.

Select PRO-AIM™ Sensitivity: Press the MODE button, then the SELECT button.

Adjust Sensitivity Level: Use the MODE and SELECT buttons to cycle through and select your desired PRO-AIM™ sensitivity level (OFF, LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH, MAX).

Your controller is now ready to use.

Troubleshooting

Ensuring audio controls work correctly with your headset:

The RECON CLOUD acts as a dedicated audio device on your Xbox. If you have a 3.5 mm headset with integrated controls, set them to the following levels:

  • Volume: Maximum
  • Chat Mix: Balanced
  • Microphone: Active
  • EQ: Normal or flat response

Wireless headsets, with or without integrated controls, will not be affected by the RECON CLOUD audio controls.
