Performance
Smarter and Safer
The Smart Lock Front Door is designed to provide extra home security with keyless codes, Bluetooth unlock, anti-peep password, and auto lock (5-200s) to keep your house safe and sound.
Real Time Record
Through the Keyless Door Locks for Homes APP, you can check unlocking records and incorrect password records from the Admin account in real time, providing comfort in knowing your door's status.
Fast Sharing and Convenient
With Smart Digital Door Locks for Homes, you can share codes with friends and guests that are valid for a few weeks, hours, or minutes, and revoke them whenever needed. This eliminates the worry of lost, stolen, or copied keys.
Easily Install and Smart Reminder
Installation requires just a screwdriver and easy-to-follow instructions. When the battery is low, the Keypad Door Lock Deadbolt Set will alarm and can be temporarily powered by a 9V battery.
Installation Manual
Note: Install and test the lock with the door open to avoid being locked out.
Tools Needed
Phillips Screwdriver, Tape Measure, Pencil, Other Chiseling Tools.
1. Adjusting Latch Length
Diagram: Shows three stages of adjusting the latch length, indicating rotation and extension.
Note: When performing this operation, please take protective measures and be careful of the metal edge to avoid injury.
2. Check Door Dimensions
Diagram: Illustrates door dimensions including backset determination (distance from door edge to center of hole), hole diameters (recommended drill sizes), and suitable door thickness range. It also shows the keypad and lock body.
1. Backset Determination: Backset is the distance from the door edge to the center of the hole on the door face.
2. Hole's Diameters: Using the marks as a guide to drill holes: Φ3/8" (10mm) for fastening the smart door lock, Φ2-1/8" (54mm).
3. Door Thickness: The door thickness within 1-1/2" to 1-7/8" (38mm-48mm) is suitable for the keypad deadbolt handle set.
3. Install Lock
1) Install Latch
Note: Ensure the latch is inserted with the correct orientation (UP arrow indicated).
Diagram: Shows the latch and its orientation. Followed by three steps (a, b, c) illustrating marking the faceplate outline, chiseling the door edge, and inserting the latch with wood screws.
A. Mark the outline of the faceplate, then take out the latch.
B. Chisel 1mm-2mm deep along the outline to allow the faceplate to be aligned with the door edge.
C. Insert the latch into the door; use 2 wood screws to secure the latch.
2) Install Plate
Diagram: Shows three steps (a, b, c) for installing the strike plate. This involves closing the door to mark the bolt position, marking the plate outline on the jamb, and drilling the hole.
A. Identify the center of the plate: Close the door to lay the latch bolt against the door frame. Mark the outline of the plate onto the door jamb.
B. Drill 25mm deep at the intersection of the horizontal and vertical lines of the plate.
C. Chisel 1mm-2mm deep along the plate outline to allow the plate to be aligned with the door frame.
D. Insert the plastic lock groove and the strike plate into the door jamb and tighten with wood screws.
3) Install Keypad
Diagram: Shows installing the double-screw bolt into the keypad inner plate. Then, shows placing the IC wire, latch link bar, and double-screws through the deadbolt holes.
Diagram: Shows the IC wire and screws connection to the mounting plate.
Note: IC wire should be placed under the latch.
After installing the front pad, roll the handle spindle to test if it works with the deadbolt. If not, remove the front pad, roll the latch link bar around 90 degrees, and try installing again until it works with the deadbolt.
Pass the IC wire and the latch link bar to the mounting plate. Use 1 flat screw to secure the keypad double-screw bolt. Use 2 flat screws to connect the mounting plate with the latch.
Note: Place the IC line as shown in the figure to avoid the lock latch going out of control.
4) Identify Door Handing
Diagram: Shows a door with hinges on the left labeled "Left-handle", and a door with hinges on the right labeled "Right-handle".
The door is "Left-handle" if the hinges are on the left side of the door.
The door is "Right-handle" if the hinges are on the right side of the door.
5) Adjust Thumb Turn Piece
Diagram: Shows the interior side of the lock. For a Left-handle door, the thumb turn piece should be in a "Horizontal Direction" when unlocked. For a Right-handle door, it should be in a "Vertical Direction" when unlocked.
Rotate the thumb turn piece to "Horizontal Direction" for Left-handle doors (open into room) when in unlock status.
Rotate the thumb turn piece to "Vertical Direction" for Right-handle doors (open into room) when in unlock status.
6) Adjust the Toggle Button of the Cover
Diagram: Shows the back cover assembly with a toggle button labeled "L" and "R".
To install the lock for left-side handling, ensure the toggle button on the back cover assembly is set to "L".
To install the lock for right-side handling, ensure the toggle button on the back cover assembly is set to "R".
7) Install Receiver Module
Diagram: Shows how to remove the battery cover by pressing a spring button with a sharp object and pushing the cover up.
Diagram: Shows connecting the IC wire to the white port carefully. It also shows using screws to attach the receiver module to the door.
Note: Ensure the thumb turn piece and the toggle button of the cover are in the correct orientation.
Use 2 short flat screws to tighten the receiver module inner battery groove. Use the longest flat screw to connect the receiver module with the door.
8) Insert Battery and Install Back Battery Cover
Diagram: Shows the back of the lock where batteries are inserted and the cover is attached.
Insert 4 pcs (AA) 1.5V Alkaline batteries and slide the battery cover back onto the receiver module.
Remarks
(1) Alkaline batteries are recommended to stabilize the power supply. If non-alkaline batteries are used, battery performance will be greatly reduced.
(2) All settings will be retained in memory even if the batteries are completely dead. If batteries are dead, use a 9V backup battery to unlock the door.
