Failure to follow all warnings may lead to equipment damage, injury, or death Note | Technical Notes Highlights additional information or detailed procedure. IMPORTANT! indicates situations or cases which, if not avoided, could result in damage or failure of the Products equipment. Do Not Use Tools Use of tool(s) may damage product beyond repair and potentially void product warranty. Intended Use The flow meter UltraFlo® should only be used for measuring the flow of pure, homogeneous liquids. The UltraFlo® is not intended for use in medical applications. The volume flow meter UltraFlo® is built in accordance with industry standard EN 61010 regulations (corresponds to VDE 0411 "Safety specifications for electrical measurement, control and laboratory devices"). The manufacturer is not liable for any injury, damage or harm due to inappropriate or unintended use or modifications of the flow meter. Conversions and/or changes to the flow meter may only be made, if they are expressly performed in accordance with the operating instructions in this operating manual. Personnel for Installation, Commissioning and Operation Assembly, electrical installation, commissioning and maintenance of the flow meter must be carried out by qualified, trained personnel. The qualified personnel must have read and understood the operating instructions in this operating manual and must follow the operating instructions in this manual. The installer has to ensure that the flow meter is correctly connected according to the electrical connection diagrams in this operating manual. Serious injury or death from electric shock may occur if wiring, installation, disassembly or removal of wires is performed while electrical power is energized Technological Progress The manufacturer reserves the right to revise, alter, or modify the flow meter to the most current technology without special prior notice. Further information about the latest updates and potential additions to these operating instructions are available from www.iconprocon.com Introduction The UltraFlo® H2O series ultrasonic water meter is a new type of water meter specially designed for agricultural irrigation, garden management and water resources monitoring. The water meter has some advantages, such as low cost, high measurement accuracy, low power consumption, stable and reliable operation and so on. The thickness of the water meter is only 2 inches(50.8mm), which saves installation space, and the IP68 scheme is adopted for all parts so that the water meter can be used in various harsh environment. The uniquestructure of the water meter makes the measurement basically free from the influence of water quality and pressure loss, which is a major breakthrough in the agricultural irrigation water measurement. The UltraFlo® H2O Series Flow Meter utilizes ultrasonic technology to maximize water efficiency. It has no moving parts, and is lightweight making it an excellent choice for plastic piping systems. The UltraFlo® H2O all plastic design provides excellent protection against corrosive environments and flooded wet conditions www.iconprocon.com | sales@iconprocon.com | 905.469.9283 03 UFM-H2O Series Ultrasonic Flow Meter (Battery Operated) Technical Specifications General Executive Standard Accuracy Rating Measurable Fluid Fluid Temperature Work Environment Pressure Pressure Loss Display Spot Display Data Storage Flow Measurement Cycle Output Communication Interface Output Signal Input Power Built-in Batteries Power External Power Power Consumption Materials Measuring Pipe Sensor Protection Cover Sensitivity Grade Sensitivity Grade of Upstream Flow Field Sensitivity Grade of Downstream Flow Field Climate & Mechanical Environment Safety Grade Electromagnetism Compatibility Grade Protection Grade ISO4064-2014, GBT778-2018 2 Class Water, Sewage, Seawater (Other Liquid need be Customized), Liquid full of Pipeline 0.1-30 °C Temperature: -30-45°C, Ghumidity: 100% ( RH ) 200Psi No pressure Loss 9 Digital Accumulate Flow Display, 6 Digital Instantaneous Flow Display, Arious Condition Prompt symbols and units. Constant-current method is to mak e the calibration device (s tandard water meter) and tested water meter into stable flow state at a set flow point, calibrate the water meter by measuring accumulative flow at the same time. Different calibration methods may cause errors. If use start-stop method to calibrate the water meter, it may cause errors. Try to extend calibrating time when you use start-stop method to calibrate water meter, and make sure the duration of each turn on time should be more than 60 seconds at least. Communication This series of ultrasonic water meters / heat meters has the ability to support multi-protocol communication at the same time. For example, in the same application, the above-mentioned multiple protocols can be used together or mixed. Without doing any firmware or parameter changes. Communication Interface The ultrasonic water / heat meter is equipped with 3 physical serial communication interfaces, one is IR infrared communication interface, one is TTL/USART level interface, and the other is RS485/MBUS Parallel dual interface. USART is a logic level serial interface, suitable for direct connection to other external MCUs , such as communication modules such as NB-iot, Lora, etc., and can also be directly connected to pressure and temperature modules such as SPI interface, etc., with power consumption Very low features. The IR infrared communication interface is the standard interface of this series of ultrasonic water meters, which meets the standards stipulated in CJ188 . The IR infrared communication interface will automatically enter the low power consumption state within 300 seconds without communication. Touch the button to wake up the infrared interface; the above three physical serial communication interfaces are independent of each other, allowing the three serial ports to be accessed at the same time without interfering with each other. Serial Communication Interface Default Settings RS485/MBUS 9600,N,8,1IR 9600,N,8,1 TTL/USART 9600,N,8,1 Change serial port default settings Serial port parameter setting can be done through a PC -based software named V00_SETUP. The current serial port parameters are displayed in the M26 menu. Supported Communication Protocols MODBUS M-BUS CJ188 The above protocols can be supported at the same time. Some protocols can be cross-supported at the same time. www.iconprocon.com | sales@iconprocon.com | 905.469.9283 14 UFM-H2O Series Ultrasonic Flow Meter (Battery Operated) Warranty, Returns & Limitations Warranty Icon Process Controls Ltd warrants to the original purchaser of its products that such products will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service in accordance with instructions furnished by Icon Process Controls Ltd for a period of one year from the date of sale of such products.
