TOKIWA HA65VB Tripod Head Instructions

Thank you for purchasing a TOKIWA STYLE product. Please read this instruction manual carefully before use to ensure proper and full performance. After reading, be sure to keep it in a safe place and reread it if you have any questions.

Important Safety Information

Please follow the instructions carefully to avoid accidents. If you are purchasing only the legs, please start by reading the explanation regarding the tripod section.

Maximum payload: 10kg

Please do not load any more than this amount of equipment. Also, even if the load weight is less than the above amount, some items may be difficult to balance due to their center of gravity.

Equipment setup

Caution

Be sure to securely attach equipment and lock handles, knobs, and levers to prevent the equipment from falling or tipping over.

Installing the Pan Handle

Align the pan handle and pan handle base screws and turn the pan handle lock knob to lock the pan handle in place. The pan handle can be installed on either the left or right side. The installation angle and direction can also be changed.

You can change the position by pulling the pan handle lock knob towards you and turning it.

Attaching the tripod head

Tighten the pan lock knob on the head, align the screws on the tripod and head, and turn the head clockwise to screw it in tightly.

Camera installation

  1. Turn the shoe lock knob in the direction of the arrow to loosen it, and then press the release button to remove the quick shoe. The quick shoe can only be removed from the front side (pan handle side).
  2. Check the screw size of the equipment you will be using, and remove any unused screws in the following order:
    • Push in the camera screw retainer to allow the screw to be removed.
    • Remove any unused screws.
    • Return the camera screw retainer to its original position. Store the removed screws in a safe place so as not to lose them.
  3. Align the mounting screw hole of the equipment with the camera screw of the quick shoe and lightly screw it in. Adjust the front and back position of the quick shoe to suit the equipment you are using, then use a coin or something to screw it in firmly.
  4. Attach the quick shoe with the equipment attached to it to the tripod head from the front. Tighten the shoe lock knob to secure it in place at a well-balanced position. The quick shoe can only be attached from the front.

How to use the tripod head

Removing the tripod head

You can remove the tripod head by tightening the pan lock knob on the head and rotating the head counterclockwise.

Leveller

Caution

Using the leveller on the camera head can be used as a guide for leveling when taking photos. The leveller for the tripod is a guide for level adjustment. The accuracy is different from the leveller built into the camera.

Accessory mounting screws

Caution

Accessory mounting screws (U3/8")

Accessories such as arms can be attached to the accessory mounting screw section. When accessories are attached, the center of gravity may change, so please be careful not to tip over.

When carrying

Prohibited

Please remove cameras, scopes, and other equipment from tripods before carrying them. Equipment may fall, causing injury to the user or people nearby, or damage to property.

Maintenance

Replacement parts for this product will be available for approximately five years after production is discontinued. Therefore, we will accept repairs during this period.
