3. セットアップ

3.1 バッテリーの取り付け

4.1 Forehead Mode Measurement

For forehead temperature measurement, ensure the protective cap is attached to the probe. The thermometer will automatically switch to forehead mode when the cap is on.

1. Point the thermometer at the center of the forehead, maintaining a distance of 0.30 to 1.18 inches (approximately 1-3 cm).

4.2 Ear Mode Measurement

For ear temperature measurement, remove the protective cap from the probe. The thermometer will automatically switch to ear mode when the cap is removed.

1. Gently insert the probe into the ear canal. For children, gently pull the earlobe backward to straighten the ear canal.

The thermometer supports both Celsius and Fahrenheit units. To switch between them:

• With the thermometer powered off, press and hold the measurement button for approximately 5 seconds.
• The display will show the current unit (°C or °F). Release the button.
• Press the measurement button again briefly to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
• Once your desired unit is displayed, wait a few seconds for the thermometer to automatically save the setting and turn off.

4.4 Backlight Display and Fever Indicator

The LCD screen features a 4-color backlight system to indicate temperature status:

• 青: Power on & Steady (Normal operating state)
• 緑: Normal temperature

• 赤: High fever (temperature significantly elevated)

When a fever is detected (orange or red backlight), a short beep will sound to alert the user.

The thermometer includes a mute mode for silent operation, ideal for taking temperatures without disturbing a sleeping baby.

• To activate/deactivate mute mode, locate the mute button (often indicated by a speaker icon with a slash) on the side or front of the device.
• Press this button to toggle the sound on or off. A visual indicator on the LCD screen will confirm the mute status.

4.6 Object/Room Temperature Measurement

This thermometer can also measure the temperature of objects or rooms. This mode is typically accessed by a dedicated button or by holding the measurement button for a specific duration when the cap is on. Refer to the Quick Start Guide for precise instructions on activating this mode.

The thermometer stores previous temperature readings to help track changes over time. It can recall up to 40 sets of readings.

• To access memory mode, press the 'M' button (Memory button) on the device.
• Each subsequent press of the 'M' button will cycle through the stored readings, from most recent to oldest.
