2. Assemble Headboard Panels (Pieces 27 & 28): Lay piece 27 flat. Insert the specified locking pieces (cams) and wooden dowels. Connect piece 28 to piece 27, ensuring all connections are secure.

6. Mount Drawer Slides (Pieces 5, 6, & 18): Mount the drawer slides to pieces 5 and 6. Ensure the 'closed end' of the slide is oriented correctly (right-hand side for piece 5, left-hand side for piece 6). Mount another drawer slide to piece 18, paying attention to the closed end direction.
7. Connect Drawer Side Panels (Pieces 12 & 13): Connect pieces 12 and 13 (drawer side panels) using cam locks and their corresponding locks.
8. Assemble Drawer Base (Pieces 3, 17, & 14): Connect piece 17 (drawer front panel) to piece 3 (drawer back panel) using wooden dowels and the included hex key (from GG bag). Attach piece 14 (drawer bottom).
9. Seat Drawer Base (Piece 3 onto 17): Carefully seat piece 3 onto piece 17, then lock the cams into place. Ensure the two additional cams on piece 17 are secured.
10. Connect Drawer Side (Piece 18): Connect piece 18 (drawer side) to the assembled drawer base. Ensure the finished edge is correctly oriented.

17. Install Hinge Pieces (Pieces 1 & 2): Install hinge pieces 1 and 2 for the storage bench lid. This step is easier with a second person.
18. Install Long Metal Support (Piece 22): Grab piece 22 (long metal support) and bolt it down using the H bolts. Use the J screw to attach it.
19. Attach Side Rails (Pieces 25 & 26) to Headboard (29) & Footboard (5): Attach the side rails (pieces 25 and 26) to the headboard (piece 29) and footboard (piece 5). Ensure the wooden dowels are glued into place on both sides. Insert the bolt into the hole and secure it with the washer and nut. Use the provided wrench to tighten. It is advisable to keep these bolts slightly loose initially for easier alignment, then tighten them fully.
20. Attach Center Support Piece (Piece 22): Attach the center support piece (piece 22) to the bed frame using the black bolts.
21. Install Cover Pucks: Place the cover pucks over the exposed bolts. Ensure the missing half of the puck aligns with the bolt head for a flush fit.
22. Connect Slats (V pieces) to Center Beam (W): Connect the V pieces (slats) to the center beam (W). It is recommended to insert one side first, then the other, and finally connect them in the middle before pushing them down to click into place.
