Homey Pro Quick Start Guide and Safety Information
Getting Started
Welcome home. This guide helps you set up your Homey Pro quickly.
Placement in Your Home
Positioning Homey Pro carefully influences its performance. Ensure it has a direct line of sight to infrared devices and avoid direct sunlight for optimal performance.
Give Homey Pro Some Space
Homey Pro works best when it stands freely. Objects placed on top of Homey Pro can reduce performance, for example, by blocking infrared signals.
Installing Homey Pro
Connect the USB-C cable to Homey Pro and the adapter. Plug Homey Pro into a power outlet; it will turn on automatically. The LED ring will turn white to confirm it's starting.
Download the Homey App
Go to https://setup.homey.app. Install the app, create an account, and follow the instructions on your phone to complete the setup.
Safety and Handling
Handle Homey Pro with care. It contains sensitive electronic components and can be damaged if dropped, burned, punctured, crushed, disassembled, or exposed to excessive heat, liquid, or high concentrations of industrial chemicals.
Power Supply
Only use Homey Pro with an adapter compliant with applicable country regulations and safety standards, such as IEC 62368-1, with a minimum output rating of 5V/2A (10W). Using non-compliant or damaged power adapters or cables, or using in a moist environment, can pose risks of fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to Homey Pro or other property.
Prolonged Heat Exposure
Avoid prolonged skin contact with the device, power adapter, or charging cable when plugged in, as it may cause discomfort or injury.
Medical Device Interference
Homey Pro emits electromagnetic fields that may interfere with pacemakers, defibrillators, or other medical devices. Maintain a safe distance between your medical device and Homey Pro. Consult your physician and medical device manufacturer for specific information. Stop using Homey Pro if you suspect interference with your medical device.
Disposal and Recycling
This product should not be disposed of with household waste. Dispose of it in accordance with local environmental laws and guidelines. EU citizens should take the device to a designated collection point. Recycling helps conserve resources and protect the environment.
Operating Environment
Homey Pro is designed for normal, in-house conditions. Operating outside these ranges may affect performance:
- Operating temperature: 5°C to 35°C
- Relative humidity: 20% to 75% (non-condensing)
