How to care especially when you concern about dirt. <Melodion body·case> Wipe with a disinfectant wet tissue which is commercially available and does not contain alcohol components etc., dry thoroughly so that no moisture remains. As use of alcohol and washing with water will damage the product, never do it.

<Mouthpiece>
There are short mouthpiece for (standing performances) and long ones for (performance on desk ) and both can be washed with dishwashing detergent. Rinse thoroughly with water so that no detergent remains after washing and dry firmly till inside at no direct sunlight and a well-ventilated place. Since hot water may deform the product, Never use it.
<Erasing writing with a permanent marker>
Writing with a permanent maker on the case or keyboard cannot be erased. Never use solvents such as thinner and nail polish remover, as the surface of the resin will melt.

About the water drain button If you continue to play for a long time, or if you play on a cold day, the reeds (sounding parts) may stick due to the water vapor, causing no sound. In that case, please give guidance about how to use the water drain button described in this manual.

We thank you very much for purchasing the SUZUKI MELODION. Before use, make sure you read these instructions carefully. Please introduce this instrument to infants and school children. Keep this manual in a safe place.
C A U T I O N
Wash your hands before and after playing, and rinse your mouth.
The Melodion will break if you touch it with unclean hands or any food or drink left in your mouth go into the MELODION.
Don't swing your MELODION, Long-Pipe-Mouthpiece, or Case around.
You may hurt your friend's face.
Keep your MELODION and Mouthpiece away from the heat.
Don't put your MELODION and Mouthpiece in the car, by the side of oven, or under the strong sun. It would cause damage of your MELODION and Mouthpiece.
Avoid dropping your MELODION or placing anything heavy on top.
It would cause damage of your MELODION.
Let's drain the water after playing.
Let's drain the water that has accumulated in the mouthpiece and the Melodion.
<How to drain the water. > Let's prepare a clean handkerchief. Let's remove the mouthpiece from the Melodion. Put a handkerchief on your hands, and tap the mouthpiece
on a handkerchief, and let's drain the water. Next, put a handkerchief on your lap, and tap the Melodion
on a handkerchief after turning the Melodion upside down, and let's drain the water. After you have finished draining the water, let's store the mouthpiece and the Melodion in the case. Let's wash a handkerchief you used without putting in the case.
About the water drain button The water drain button is used, in case there is no sound after playing for a long time. Let's prepare a clean handkerchief. Put a handkerchief under the water outlet and press the
water drain button. If you blow the breath strongly through the mouthpiece
without holding down the keyboard, the water will drain from the water outlet.

How to get along withthe Long-Pipe-Mouthpiece
In between playing, when using the Long-Pipe-Mouthpiece, you can insert the end of the mouthpiece into the other end of the tube, at the joint. Then it is less distracting when listening to the teacher.
