3. Configurazione e installazione

1. Disimballaggio: Carefully remove the Protmex PTH-24D detector from its packaging.
2. Plug Selection (if applicable): The device features a replaceable plug. Ensure the correct plug type for your region (100-220V, 50/60Hz) is securely attached. To change the plug, press the quick-release button and rotate to unlock.
3. Posizionamento: Select a suitable location for the detector. It is recommended to place the detector in areas where carbon monoxide may accumulate, such as near fuel-burning appliances (furnaces, water heaters, fireplaces), in bedrooms, living areas, or in RVs. Avoid placing it directly above heat sources, in direct sunlight, or in areas with high humidity or airflow that could affect readings.
4. Accensione: Plug the detector directly into a standard electrical outlet (100-220V). The device will power on automatically and begin its calibration sequence.
5. Calibrazione iniziale: Upon first power-up or after a reset, the device will calibrate itself. This may take a few minutes. During this time, the display may show varying readings before settling to stable environmental values.

4. Istruzioni per l'uso

4.1 Letture del display

The HD 2.0-inch IPS display shows the following information:

• CO PPM: Real-time Carbon Monoxide concentration in parts per million (PPM).
• Temperatura: Ambient temperature, switchable between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
• Umidità: Umidità relativa percentualetage(%).
• Icone di avviso: Visual indicators for CO levels (Green: Safe, Yellow: Warning, Orange: Exceeded, Red: Alarm).

4.2 Funzioni dei pulsanti

Il dispositivo è dotato di tre pulsanti di controllo sul pannello frontale:

• "U" Button:
  • Short Press: Initiates a self-test.
  • Long Press: Toggles temperature unit between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C).
• Buzzer Button (Bell Icon):
  • Short Press: Toggles alarm sound On/Off.
  • Long Press: Flips the screen display 180 degrees for inverted outlets.
• Screen Brightness Button (Light Bulb Icon):
  • Short Press: Adjusts screen brightness levels.

4.3 Funzionalità di allarme

The detector is equipped with an upgraded alarm function:

• When CO concentration exceeds 50 PPM, the screen will display a yellow icon warning.
• The device will emit an audible alarm sound of more than 85dB.
• The breathing light will flash to provide a visual alert.
• The device continuously monitors CO levels for 24 hours, even if the screen or breathing light is turned off to save energy (when CO levels are below 150 PPM).

7. Manutenzione

• Pulizia: Gently wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or detergents, as these may damage the casing o componenti interni.
• Ventilazione: Ensure that the ventilation openings on the device are not obstructed by dust or debris.
• Test regolari: Perform regular self-tests using the "U" button to ensure proper functionality.

8. Risoluzione Dei Problemi

• Nessun display/alimentazione: Ensure the device is securely plugged into a functional electrical outlet. Check the outlet with another appliance.
• Letture imprecise: Allow the device sufficient time to calibrate after plugging in. Ensure it is not placed near strong drafts, heat sources, or in excessively humid environments.
• Suoni di allarme: If the alarm sounds, immediately ventilate the area by opening windows and doors. Evacuate the premises and contact emergency services if you suspect a carbon monoxide leak. Do not re-enter until the area has been deemed safe by professionals.
