4. Guida all'installazione

4.1 Posizionamento iniziale

For optimal Wi-Fi coverage, place the router in a central location in your home, away from obstructions like thick walls, large metal objects, and devices that emit strong electromagnetic interference (e.g., microwaves, cordless phones).

4.2 Connecting Your Router

  2. Connetti porta WAN: Connect one end of the provided RJ-45 Ethernet cable to the WAN port (blue) on your WAVLINK router and the other end to your modem's Ethernet port.
  4. Accensione: Power on your modem first, wait for it to fully boot up (usually indicated by stable lights), then power on your WAVLINK router.

4.3 First-Time Setup via Web Interfaccia

  1. Connetti al router: Connect your computer or mobile device to the router's default Wi-Fi network (SSID and password are usually printed on a label on the bottom of the router) or via an Ethernet cable to one of the LAN ports.
  2. Accesso Web Interfaccia: Aprire un web browser e inserisci l'indirizzo IP predefinito (ad esempio, 192.168.1.1 or router.wavlink.com) into the address bar. Refer to the Quick Installation Guide for the exact default IP and login credentials.
  4. Segui la procedura guidata di installazione: Quello del router web interface will guide you through the initial setup process, including changing the default Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password, and setting up your internet connection type.

5. Istruzioni per l'uso

5.1 Collegamento dei dispositivi

You can connect devices to your WAVLINK AC3200 router wirelessly or via Ethernet cables.

  • Connessione cablata: Connect an Ethernet cable from your device's Ethernet port to any of the router's LAN ports.

5.2 Gestione delle reti Wi-Fi

The AC3200 router operates on dual bands: 2.4GHz and 5GHz. The 2.4GHz band offers wider coverage, while the 5GHz band provides faster speeds with less interference, ideal for streaming and gaming.

You can manage your Wi-Fi settings, including SSIDs, passwords, and security protocols, through the router's web interfaccia.

6. Funzionalità avanzate

6.1 Controllo genitori

The router includes advanced parental control features, allowing you to manage internet access for specific devices or users. You can set time limits, block inappropriate content, and create custom profiles to ensure a safe online environment for your family.

6.2 Wi-Fi ospite

Create a separate Wi-Fi network for guests to provide internet access without sharing your main network password or allowing access to your private network resources. Guest networks can be configured with their own SSID, password, and access restrictions.

6.3 Qualità del servizio (QoS)

QoS allows you to prioritize network traffic for specific applications or devices. This ensures that critical activities like online gaming or video conferencing receive sufficient bandwidth, reducing lag and buffering.

6.4 LCD Interface and Touch Keys

The router's LCD display provides quick access to network status and settings. The three touch keys allow you to navigate through different information screens and perform basic operations directly on the device without needing to access the web interfaccia.

7. Manutenzione

7.1 Aggiornamenti firmware

Regularly check for and install firmware updates to ensure your router has the latest features, security patches, and performance improvements. Firmware updates can typically be performed through the router's web interfaccia.

7.2 Pulizia regolare

Keep the router clean and free from dust to ensure proper ventilation and prevent overheating. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.

7.3 Reimpostazione del router

If you encounter persistent issues or forget your login credentials, you can perform a factory reset. Locate the reset button on the rear panel (often a small pinhole) and press and hold it for approximately 10 seconds using a paperclip until the router restarts. This will restore all settings to their factory defaults.

8. Risoluzione Dei Problemi

8.1 Nessuna connessione Internet

  • Restart your modem and router by unplugging them from power for 30 seconds and then plugging them back in. Power on the modem first, then the router.
  • Check the WAN status lights on the router.

  • Connect to the 5GHz band for faster speeds if your device supports it.
