2. Adding Bar & Chain Oil

Ensure the oil level is visible through the clear window. This chainsaw features an auto-lubricating chain system.

3. Regolazione della tensione della catena

Proper chain tension is crucial for safe and effective operation. The chainsaw features tool-free chain tensioning. Use the convenient dial on the side of the tool to adjust the chain tension. The chain should be snug against the guide bar, allowing you to lift it slightly with your fingers but not pull it away from the bar. Refer to the detailed instructions in the included manual for precise tensioning specifications.

Istruzioni per l'uso

1. Caratteristiche di sicurezza

The SKIL chainsaw is equipped with multiple safety features:

  • Due-Stage Trigger: To activate the chainsaw, you must first engage the safety lever (usually a button or switch near the main handle) and then pull the main trigger. This prevents accidental starts.
  • Freno catena: A chain brake is located on the front handle. Pushing this lever forward engages the brake, stopping the chain immediately. Ensure the brake is disengaged (pulled back) before attempting to start the chainsaw.

2. Avviare la motosega

  1. Assicurarsi che la batteria sia completamente carica e inserita saldamente.
  2. Verify the chain brake is disengaged (pulled back towards the operator).
  3. Afferrare saldamente la motosega con entrambe le mani.
  4. Coinvolgi i duetage safety lever/button.
  5. Press the trigger to start the chain. Release the trigger to stop.

3. Tecniche di taglio

Always maintain a stable stance and clear understanding of the cutting path. For optimal performance and safety, use the chainsaw for its intended purpose, such as trimming and pruning limbs. The 1/4-inch pitch chain is designed for smooth, precise cuts.

Manutenzione

Una manutenzione regolare garantisce la longevità e il funzionamento sicuro della motosega.

  • Bar & Chain Oil: Regularly check the oil level in the reservoir and refill as needed. Never operate the chainsaw without sufficient bar and chain oil.
  • Tensione della catena: Periodically check and adjust the chain tension. A loose chain can derail, and an overly tight chain can cause premature wear.
  • Affilatura/sostituzione della catena: A dull chain requires more effort to cut and can be dangerous. Sharpen the chain regularly or replace it when necessary. Refer to the product manual for specific chain sharpening guidelines.
  • Pulizia: After each use, clean sawdust and debris from the chainsaw, especially around the bar, chain, and motor housing.
  • Magazzinaggio: Store the chainsaw in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children. Always remove the battery before storing the tool for extended periods.
