4.1 Receiver Interfaces and Functions

- Telephone Status Indicator: Shows the status of a connected telephone line.

- Functions Switch (SCAN/UTP, OFF, UTP): Selects between cable tracing (SCAN), power off, and UTP cable testing modes.
- UTP Cable Sequence / Continuity Indicators (1-8, G): Displays wire sequence and continuity for UTP cables. 'G' indicates shielded cable.

5. Impostazione
5.1 Installazione della batteria
The Emitter and Receiver units each require 2x AA batteries (not included). To install:

- Insert 2x AA batteries into each compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).

The device also supports PoE power detection, allowing it to test live PoE lines up to 60V on RJ45 and 100V on BNC ports without damage.

6. Istruzioni per l'uso
6.1 Cable Tracing (Wire Tracker Mode)
This mode is used to locate and identify a specific cable among a bundle of cables.
- Connect the cable to be traced to the appropriate port (RJ45, RJ11, or BNC) on the Emitter unit. Use the provided adapter cables if necessary.
- Set the Emitter's Functions Switch to SCAN/UTP. The Emitter will begin sending a signal.
- Accendere l'unità ricevente.
- Adjust the Receiver's Sensitivity Knob to a suitable level. Start with a lower sensitivity and increase if needed.
- Move the Receiver's probe along the suspected cable path. The Receiver will emit an audible tone when it detects the signal from the Emitter. The signal strength indicators will also light up.
- The built-in LED light on the Receiver can be activated for working in dark environments.

6.2 Network Cable Test (UTP Mode)
This mode tests RJ45 network cables for continuity, short circuits, open circuits, cross-overs, and split pairs.

- Connect the other end of the RJ45 network cable to the UTP Cable Test Port on the Receiver.
- Set the Emitter's Functions Switch to UTP.
- Observe the UTP Cable Sequence / Continuity Indicators (1-8, G) on both the Emitter and Receiver.
- The indicators will light up sequentially, showing the wire map.
- The UTP Cable Type Indicator (DIRECT, CROSS, OTHER) will illuminate to show if the cable is a straight-through, crossover, or other type.
- If there is a short circuit, open circuit, or miswiring, the corresponding LED will not light up or will light up incorrectly.
- Premere il tasto IMPOSTATO button on the Emitter to cycle through local, remote, and switch connection tests.
6.3 PoE Power Detection
To detect if a network port is supplying Power over Ethernet (PoE):
- Connect the network cable from the PoE switch to the PD Powered Test Port on the Receiver.
- The Receiver will display the PoE voltage and polarity, indicating if the PoE power output is normal.
6.4 Test della linea telefonica
To test RJ11 telephone lines:

- The Telephone Status Indicator on the Emitter will show the line status (standby, incoming, outgoing).
6.5 Modalità silenziosa
To activate mute mode on the Receiver:

7. Manutenzione
- Pulire il dispositivo con un panno morbido e asciutto. Non utilizzare detergenti abrasivi o solventi.
- Rimuovere le batterie se il dispositivo non verrà utilizzato per un periodo prolungato per evitare perdite.
- Conservare il dispositivo nella sua custodia in un luogo fresco e asciutto, lontano dalla luce solare diretta e da temperature estreme.
