YK-P01B pH Meter Components:

Configurazione e installazione della batteria

Both meters come with LR44 batteries pre-installed. If replacement is needed, follow these steps:

1. Twist off the battery compartment cap at the top of the meter.
2. Remove the old LR44 batteries.
3. Insert new LR44 batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Each meter requires 3 LR44 batteries.
4. Richiudere saldamente il tappo del vano batteria.

Before first use, remove the protective cap from the electrode/probe end of each meter.

Guida operativa

Funzionamento generale:

1. Accensione/spegnimento: Premere il tasto ACCESO/SPENTO pulsante per accendere o spegnere il misuratore.

Using the YK-P01B pH Meter:

1. Accendere il pHmetro.
2. Immerse the electrode into the solution up to the immersion line. Do not submerge the entire meter.
3. Gently stir the solution and wait for the reading to stabilize (typically a few seconds). The horizontal display will show both pH and temperature.

Using the YK-E01B TDS/EC Meter:

1. Turn on the TDS/EC meter.
2. Immerse the probes into the solution up to the immersion line.
3. Gently stir the solution and wait for the reading to stabilize. The horizontal display will show TDS/EC and temperature.

Calibrazione

Regular calibration ensures the accuracy of your meters. Calibration frequency depends on usage and storage conditions. It is recommended to calibrate the pH meter weekly or bi-weekly, and the TDS/EC meter monthly, or if readings appear inconsistent.

pH Meter Calibration (YK-P01B):

The pH meter supports 3-point calibration (pH 4.00, pH 6.86, pH 9.18). Use the provided buffer powders to prepare calibration solutions according to their instructions (typically dissolving in 250ml of distilled water).

1. Prepare three separate beakers with pH 4.00, pH 6.86, and pH 9.18 buffer solutions.
2. Accendere il pHmetro.
3. Premere a lungo il tasto CAL button for 5 seconds until the display shows "CAL".
4. Immerse the electrode into the pH 6.86 buffer solution. The meter will automatically recognize the solution and calibrate. Wait for the reading to stabilize and "END" to appear, then rinse the electrode with distilled water.
5. Next, immerse the electrode into the pH 4.00 buffer solution. The meter will automatically calibrate. Wait for "END" to appear, then rinse.
6. Finally, immerse the electrode into the pH 9.18 buffer solution. The meter will automatically calibrate. Wait for "END" to appear, then rinse.
7. The calibration is complete. The meter will return to measurement mode.

Nota: Always calibrate pH 6.86 first, then pH 4.00 or pH 9.18 depending on your expected measurement range. For acidic solutions, calibrate with 6.86 and 4.00. For alkaline solutions, calibrate with 6.86 and 9.18.

TDS/EC Meter Calibration (YK-E01B):

The TDS/EC meter is factory calibrated for EC. However, if recalibration is needed, use a 1413 µS/cm EC standard solution.

1. Prepare a 1413 µS/cm EC standard solution in a clean beaker.
2. Turn on the TDS/EC meter.
3. Immerse the probes into the 1413 µS/cm standard solution.
4. Premere a lungo il tasto MODALITÀ/CAL button for 5 seconds until the display shows "CAL". The meter will automatically recognize the solution and calibrate.
5. Wait for the reading to stabilize and "END" to appear.
6. Rinse the probes with distilled water and replace the protective cap.

Manutenzione e stoccaggio

• Pulizia: After each use, rinse the electrodes/probes of both meters thoroughly with distilled or deionized water to prevent contamination and ensure accurate readings. Do not use tap water for rinsing.
• Conservazione dell'elettrodo pH: For the pH meter, it is crucial to keep the glass electrode moist. Store the pH meter with a few drops of pH electrode storage solution (or pH 4.00 buffer solution if storage solution is unavailable) in the protective cap. Never store the pH electrode dry or in distilled water.
• TDS/EC Probe Storage: The TDS/EC probes can be stored dry after rinsing.

• Conservazione generale: Store both meters in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep them in their original protective cases when not in use.
