Guida all'installazione

1. Installazione dei dischi rigidi

The enclosure supports both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA HDDs/SSDs. Ensure the enclosure is powered off before installation.

1. Gently pull out the drive trays from the front of the enclosure.
2. Place your 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA HDD/SSD onto the tray. Align the screw holes on the drive with those on the tray.
3. Secure the hard drive to the tray using the provided screws and screwdriver. This protects the drive from shock and interface damage.
4. Slide the loaded tray back into the enclosure until it clicks into place. Repeat for all desired drives.

2. Connecting the Enclosure to Your Computer

1. Connect the provided 150W power adapter to the AC power port on the rear of the enclosure and then to a power outlet.
2. Connect one end of the USB-C data cable (or USB-C to USB-A cable) to the "Main" USB-C port on the rear of the enclosure.
3. Connect the other end of the data cable to an available USB-C or USB-A port on your computer.
4. Ensure the power switch on the rear of the enclosure is in the "OFF" position before connecting power, then switch it to "ON".

3. Collegamento a catena (facoltativo)

To expand your storage capacity further, you can daisy chain up to two additional Yottamaster enclosures (FS4C3 or FS5C3 models).

1. Ensure each enclosure in the daisy chain is connected to its own AC power supply.
2. Connect the "HUB" port of the first enclosure (Device 1) to the "Main" port of the second enclosure (Device 2) using a USB-C to USB-C data cable.
3. If connecting a third enclosure (Device 3), repeat the previous step: connect the "HUB" port of Device 2 to the "Main" port of Device 3.
4. The computer should only be connected to the "Main" port of the first enclosure in the chain.

Istruzioni per l'uso

1. Accensione/Spegnimento

To power on the enclosure, ensure all cables are connected, then flip the power switch on the rear panel to the "ON" position. To power off, flip the switch to "OFF". Always ensure data transfer is complete before powering off to prevent data loss.

2. Drive Recognition and Formatting

Upon connecting and powering on, your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux) should detect the enclosure. For brand new hard drives, they may not appear immediately in your file explorer. You will need to initialize, partition, and format them using your operating system's Disk Management utility (Windows), Disk Utility (macOS), or equivalent tools (Linux).

Important: Always back up any existing data on drives before formatting, as formatting will erase all data.

3. Trasferimento dei dati

Once drives are recognized and formatted, you can begin transferring data. The enclosure supports up to 10Gbps transfer speeds, but actual speeds may vary depending on your hard drives' performance, computer's USB port capabilities, and the type of data being transferred.
