1. Montaggio del giradischi

  1. Posizionare il piatto: Carefully place the aluminum platter onto the center spindle. Ensure it sits flat.
  2. Installare la cinghia di trasmissione: Locate the drive belt on the underside of the platter. Align the belt with the motor pulley (a small brass or plastic cylinder) located in the top-left corner of the turntable base. Use the red tab to pull the belt over the motor pulley.

2. Connecting the Turntable to Audio System

The AT-LP60X has a built-in phono pre-amplifier, allowing it to be connected directly to various audio inputs.

  • Interruttore PHONO/LINE: On the back of the turntable, locate the PHONO/LINE switch.

3. Connecting the Studio Monitors

The included studio monitors are powered and can be connected directly to the turntable's LINE output (when the PHONO/LINE switch is set to LINE).

  1. Connect the RCA audio cable from the turntable's LINE output to the RCA input jacks on the active (powered) studio monitor.
  2. Connect the passive studio monitor to the active monitor using the speaker cable provided with the monitors.
  3. Connect the power cable of the active studio monitor to a wall outlet.

Connect the supplied AC adapter to the DC input jack on the turntable, then plug the adapter into a wall outlet.

1. Riproduzione di un disco

  1. Accensione: Ensure the turntable and connected audio system/monitors are powered on.
  2. Seleziona velocità: Set the 33/45 RPM selector switch on the turntable to match the speed of the record you wish to play. Use 33 for LPs and 45 for singles. For 45 RPM singles with a large center hole, place the 45 RPM adapter on the center spindle.

    • Premere il tasto INIZIO button. The platter will begin to rotate, the tonearm will automatically move to the lead-in groove of the record, and the stylus will lower.
    • Alternatively, you can manually lift the tonearm using the tonearm lift lever, position it over the desired track, and then lower the lever to gently drop the stylus onto the record.

2. Interruzione della riproduzione

  • Arresto automatico: When the record finishes playing, the tonearm will automatically return to its rest position, and the platter will stop rotating.
  • Arresto manuale: To stop playback mid-record, press the FERMARE button. The tonearm will lift, return to its rest, and the platter will stop. You can also manually lift the tonearm and place it back on its rest.

3. Using the Studio Monitors

  • Energia: Use the power switch on the active monitor to turn them on or off.
  • Volume: Adjust the volume knob on the active monitor to control the output level.
  • Ingressi: Ensure the audio source (turntable) is connected to the correct input on the active monitor.

4. Using the Vinyl Record Care System

Regular cleaning of your records helps maintain sound quality and prolong the life of your stylus.

  1. Place the record on the turntable (do not start playback).
  2. Apply a small amount of the record care solution to the cleaning brush or cloth.
  3. Gently wipe the record surface in a circular motion, following the grooves. Avoid applying excessive pressure.
  4. Allow the record to dry completely before playing.

Manutenzione

1. Pulizia del giradischi

  • Copertura antipolvere e mobiletto: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use benzene, thinners, or other chemical cleaners.
  • Stilo: Use a soft brush, like the one included in the care kit, to gently brush the stylus from back to front. Do not brush side to side. Clean regularly to prevent debris buildup.
  • Platter and Mat: Remove the felt mat and wipe the platter with a dry cloth. The felt mat can be gently brushed or shaken to remove dust.

2. Sostituzione dello stilo

The stylus (needle) is a consumable part and should be replaced after approximately 300-500 hours of use, or sooner if you notice a degradation in sound quality or visible damage.

  1. Gently pull the old stylus unit downwards and forwards to remove it from the cartridge body.
  2. Align the new replacement stylus (Audio-Technica ATN3600L or compatible) with the cartridge body and push it upwards and backwards until it clicks into place.
  3. Avoid touching the stylus tip.
