Lift the clear lid to the fully open position.
Remove the old CF cartridge and dispose of responsibly.
Remove the Algaway CF holster from the CF filter and slide out the old Algaway pad and discard of responsibly.
For the CF1,2 & 3 remove and reinsert the Bio Media cage as per the image below.
Use this slot for CF3.
Insert the new larger (FRONT) Coir Tech cartridge into the Algaway CF holster (for CF Mini, the cartridge slots directly into this section), reinsert as per the images below.
Top tip…submerge the Coir Tech cartridges under water for 5 seconds to expel any trapped air before inserting into the Bio CF filter.
Then insert the new (BACK) Coir Tech cartridge into the front of the ceramic cartridge for a tight fit.
Then close the lid to complete the installation of the Bio CF Filter. 8. Replace the Coir Tech cartridges every month to keep your aquarium healthy, clean and clear.
