1. Pendahuluan

The Mr. Pen Oven Lock is designed to enhance kitchen safety by preventing young children from opening oven doors. This heat-resistant device utilizes strong adhesive for secure attachment and features a user-friendly design for adults while remaining child-resistant. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper function and safety.

2. Informasi Keselamatan

• Always ensure the oven lock is properly engaged when not in use, especially when children are present.
• This product is a deterrent and not a substitute for adult supervision. Never leave children unattended in the kitchen.
• Verify that the oven lock is securely attached before relying on it.
• Do not use the oven lock if it appears damaged or broken.
• Keep the oven lock clean and free from grease or debris to maintain optimal function.

5. Pengaturan dan Instalasi

1. Bersihkan Permukaan: Ensure the oven surface where the lock will be applied is clean, dry, and free from grease or dust. Use a mild cleaner and allow it to dry completely.
2. Tentukan Penempatan: Identify a suitable flat area on your oven, typically above the oven door handle, where the lock can be securely attached. Ensure there is enough clearance for the lock to rotate and for the oven door to open and close without obstruction. The lock is suitable for stoves with less than a 3/4 inch lip to the door.
3. Siapkan Perekat: Peel off the protective backing from the high-strength, heat-resistant 3M adhesive tape on the back of the oven lock.
4. Attach the Lock: Carefully align the oven lock with the chosen position and firmly press it onto the oven surface. Apply consistent pressure for at least 30 seconds to ensure good adhesion.
5. Biarkan Menyembuhkan: For optimal adhesion and strength, allow the adhesive to cure for a full 72 hours before actively using the lock. This ensures the tape forms a strong bond with the surface.

6. Petunjuk Pengoperasian

1. Untuk mengunci: Rotate the oven lock into the horizontal position, ensuring it spans across the gap between the oven frame and the oven door. The double buttons should be aligned to prevent the door from opening.
2. Untuk membuka: Simultaneously press the two buttons on the sides of the lock and rotate it 180 degrees to the vertical position. This will disengage the locking mechanism, allowing the oven door to open.

7. Pemeliharaan

To maintain the effectiveness and appearance of your Mr. Pen Oven Lock, wipe it regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the material or adhesive. Ensure the area around the lock remains clean to prevent debris from interfering with its operation.

8. Penyelesaian masalah

• Lock not adhering properly: Ensure the surface was thoroughly cleaned and dry before application. Allow the adhesive to cure for the recommended 72 hours without disturbance. Extreme temperatures or humidity during application may affect adhesion.
• Difficulty unlocking for adults: Ensure both buttons are pressed simultaneously and firmly before rotating. If the lock feels stiff, ensure no debris is obstructing the mechanism.
• Oven door still opens with lock engaged: Re-check the placement of the lock to ensure it effectively bridges the gap between the oven frame and door. The lock should be positioned so that the door cannot be pulled open when the lock is in the horizontal position.
