For more information regarding initial setup and installation, see the "Unpacking and Setup Instructions" or refer to the "Operating Instructions". Home Screen Upon power up, the RSX will run an initialization sequence. Select the "Settings" icon in the top right-hand corner. Add New Spindles Before starting your first test, it is recommended that you add your Measurement Systems (spindles) to the instrument. From the Home screen, select the "Settings" icon. Then select "General Settings". Choose "Measuring Systems", and then select "+ Add MS" (Measuring System). Attach the new spindle to the RSX. Open the coupling, insert the spindle, and close the coupling. The instrument should recognize the spindle by its barcode. Spindle type will be shown in the ID box. For Cone spindles, add volume, shear rate factor (K-Gamma), shear stress factor (TauPerMille), and truncation (Gap) from the cone spindle certificate. Select "OK" button to complete the input of the Measurement System. Configure New Test Select the "Home" icon. Congratulations! You are now ready to run a test in Standalone mode or with optional Rheo3000 Software. Choose your desired test (Viscosity, Yield, Creep-Re covery, Thixotropy) and follow the prompts to configure your test. For additional detail, please refer to the Operating Instructions.
