Also, be sure to retain this manual in a safe place for future reference. www.pure-acoustics.com Getting familiar with your speakers: The Pure Acoustics indoor/outdoor speakers are designed to accurately reproduce high fidelity music in a variety of applications, including home theater. Not only are these load speakers weather resistant for outdoor use, they also include color matched brackets for mounting in most any environments. Properly placing your speakers: The Pure Acoustics indoor/outdoor speakers are manufactured to resist a variety of weather conditions. However, they are not water proof, so if you decide to place your speakers outdoors, position them so they are not directly exposed to the elements. The undersides of most eaves and overhangs provide the best protection for long term outdoor placement of the speakers. Properly mounting the speakers: If you plan on mounting your Pure Acoustics speakers please follow these directions: 1. Using the supplied hardware mount the bracket to the wall, eave over hang where you intend to install the speaker 2. Attach the speakers to the brackets using the plastic knobs included 3. Position the speaker in the desired direction and tighten the knobs Caution: DO NOT mount the speaker/s on a wall or ceiling made of unreinforced drywall or plasterboard. If you are unsure, consult a professional contractor to assist you. Connecting the Speakers: The binding post speaker terminals on the Pure Acoustics weatherized outdoor speakers will accommodate up to 12 gauge wire. When connecting the speakers, it is very important to observe the correct polarity. This means that the wire attached to the (+), red, or (-), black, negative or ground terminals. This is easy to do by locating the color stripe or ribbing that appear on most speaker wire.
