6 CHANNELS OF GESTURAL MUSIC-MAKING AT YOUR FINGER TIPS... ARE YOU READY?
This is a quick reference to be used after reading the full manual. For detailed information, please consult the complete manual.
Quick Start
- Channel outputs: Patch them to modulate other modules. Lights indicate channel voltage.
- Channel buttons: Press to select the desired channel (A, B, C, D, E, F).
- MODE button: Press to change the mode of the selected channel.
- RATE knob: Adjust the main parameter of the selected channel.
- REC button: Hold
REC+ turnRATEto automate the RATE parameter. HoldREC+SHIFTto record triggers. TheREClight indicates active automation. - CLEAR the automation: Double tap
RECto clear the automation of the RATE knob. Double tapSHIFTto clear the trigger automation.

Mode Specific Settings
SHIFT + A/B/C/D/E/F = channel shape/mode-specific settings
- LFO MODE
- Waveforms: SAW, TRIANGLE, RAMP, PULSE, RANDOM, SINE. Modes: REGULAR, SMOOTH. Note:
A/B/C/D/E/F+MUTEsets channel bipolar. Voltage ranges: 5V, 0V, -5V. Polarity options: UNIPOLAR, BIPOLAR. - CV MODE
- Scale Selection:
A/B/C. Quantize ON/OFF:D. Scales include MAJOR, MINOR, DIATONIC, CHROMATIC, PENTATONIC, CHORD variations. Voltage ranges: 5V, -5V. Octave settings: 2, 4, 5, 10 Octaves. - ENV MODE
- Modes: DECAY, VARIABLE, ATTACK, PULSE. Trigger/Gate options:
ENON-TRIGGER,ERETRIGGER,FREGULAR TRIG,FSLEW/AR. Voltage ranges: 5V, 2V, 0V, -2V, -5V. Polarity options: BIPOLAR, UNIPOLAR. - INPUT MODES
SHIFT+MODE= META IN MODE.EF+MODE= E/F INPUT MODE. Modes include REGULAR, REGULAR ATTENUATED, INVERSE, INVERSE ATTENUATED, VCA. These modes define how LFO, VCA, ENV, CV, and S&H signals interact with inputs. Input types: TRIGGER, INPUT:, SAMPLE & HOLD, CV S&H. Voltage ranges: 5V, 0V, -5V.- TRIG FILL GENERATOR
REC+SHIFT+RATE= generate trigger fill.REC+SHIFT+A/B/C/D/E/F= trigger fill algorithm.A/B/Cchannels:RATEselects 1 of 8 sequences (e.g., KICK, SNARE, HIHAT).D/E/Fchannels:RATEsets the number of fills (e.g., DIVIDER, EUCLID, RANDOM).
Diagram Descriptions:
Module Panel: A diagram of the Bastl Instruments Neo Trinity module showing input/output jacks (CLK IN, RESET, IN E, IN F, CLK OUT, META IN), control buttons (A, B, C, D, E, F, CLK, RESET, MODE, SHIFT, REC, BANK, MUTE), knobs (RATE), and indicators (REC light).
Waveforms: Visual representations of various waveforms including Sine, Triangle, Sawtooth, Ramp, Pulse, and Random shapes, illustrating different LFO, CV, and ENV modes. Also shows comparisons of original vs. processed waveforms.
Input Modes: Schematic diagrams illustrating signal flow for different input modes (REGULAR, REGULAR ATTENUATED, INVERSE, INVERSE ATTENUATED, VCA), showing how LFO, VCA, ENV, CV, and S&H signals interact.
Trigger Fill Generator: A visual representation of trigger fill sequences, depicted as patterns of dots. It shows how the RATE knob selects different rhythmic patterns or fill quantities for channels A/B/C (KICK, SNARE, HIHAT) and D/E/F (DIVIDER, EUCLID, RANDOM).
