3. Setup Instructions

The OiDiPi GT-HDWL30 is designed for simple plug-and-play operation. Follow these steps to set up your wireless HDMI system:

1. Connect the Transmitter (TX):

   Plug the HDMI end of the Wireless HDMI Transmitter (TX) into an HDMI output port on your source device (e.g., laptop, PC, game console, set-top box). Ensure the USB-A power cable from the TX unit is connected to a USB power source (e.g., a USB port on your computer or a USB power adapter, not included). The TX unit requires power to operate.

2. Connect the Receiver (RX):

   Plug the HDMI end of the Wireless HDMI Receiver (RX) into an HDMI input port on your display device (e.g., TV, monitor, projector). Connect the USB-A power cable from the RX unit to a USB power source (e.g., a USB port on your TV or a USB power adapter, not included). The RX unit also requires power to operate.

3. Automatic Pairing:

   Once both the TX and RX units are powered on and connected, they will automatically pair with each other. The indicator lights on both units will show their connection status. No manual pairing or software installation is typically required.

4. Using Adapters:

   If your source device has a Micro HDMI or Mini HDMI output, use the provided Micro HDMI or Mini HDMI adapter to connect the TX unit. Ensure the adapter is securely connected to both your device and the TX unit.

4.1. Display Modes

• Mirror Mode:

  In Mirror Mode, the content displayed on your source device's screen is duplicated onto the connected display (TV, monitor, projector). This is useful for presentations or sharing content directly.

• Extend Mode:

  In Extend Mode, your connected display acts as an extension of your source device's desktop, allowing you to have different content on each screen. This mode is ideal for multitasking. Note: Extend mode functionality depends on your source device's operating system and graphics card support.

4.2. Dual-Band Operation

The GT-HDWL30 automatically switches between 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies to maintain a stable and efficient connection. This intelligent switching helps minimize interference and optimize signal strength, especially in environments with multiple wireless devices.

5. Maintenance

  • Check the distance between the TX and RX units. While rated for up to 98ft (30m) in open space, walls and other obstructions can significantly reduce the effective range (down to 82ft/25m or less). Try reducing the distance or removing obstructions.
  • Minimize interference from other wireless devices (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, cordless phones) by repositioning the units or other devices.
  • Verify that the input source on your display device (TV/monitor) is set to the correct HDMI port where the RX unit is connected.
• No Audio or Poor Audio Quality:
  • Check the audio output settings on your source device (laptop, PC). Ensure the audio is directed to the HDMI output.
  • Confirm that the volume on both your source device and display device is turned up and not muted.
• Picture Quality Issues (Blurry, Flickering, Lag):
  • Ensure your source device is outputting a resolution supported by the system (up to 1080P).
  • Reduce the distance between the TX and RX units.
  • Check for strong electromagnetic interference in the environment.
• Units Feel Warm During Operation:
  • It is normal for the transmitter and receiver units to become warm during extended use. Ensure they have adequate ventilation and are not covered. If they become excessively hot or you notice any unusual smells, disconnect power immediately and contact support.
• Physical Damage / Casing Coming Apart:
  • Handle the devices with care. If the casing separates, avoid touching internal components. Contact customer support for assistance. Do not attempt to repair it yourself, as this may void the warranty.
