Product Usage Instructions
Thermostat Controls
- Mode: Heat/Off/Cool/Auto/EM Heat (emergency heat)
- Fan: Auto/On/Circulate
- Indoor Temperature Setpoint: Press or to change the temperature setting
- Temperature/Navigation: Increase or decrease temperature setpoint and navigate menus
- System Status: Cool On/Heat On/Aux Heat On
Alerts and Reminders
- 405 Low batteries: Replace batteries soon.
- 407 Critically low batteries: Replace batteries immediately.
- 164 Heat pump has detected a fault: Contact service for assistance.
- 170 Thermostat memory failure: Reset thermostat if issue persists.
- 173 Internal sensor error: Check for sensor issues.
- 178 Wired outdoor sensor error: Verify outdoor sensor connections.
- 181 Replace filter: Reset timer after replacing furnace filter by pressing/holding specific buttons for 5 seconds.
- When an alert is active, the
icon appears in the lower part of the display as well as the alert #.
- When the filter Reminder is active, the
icon appears as well as 181.
System Operation Settings
- Press the Mode button to cycle through available System modes (e.g., Heat, Off, Cool).
- Select the required System mode by cycling through and leave it to activate.
Fan Operation Settings
- Press/release the Fan button to cycle through available Fan modes.
- Stop pressing the fan button when the desired Fan mode is displayed.
- Fan Modes:
- Auto: Fan runs only when the heating or cooling system is on.
- On: Fan is always on.
- Circ: Fan runs about 33% of the time to circulate air.
Replace Batteries
Pull to remove the thermostat from the UWP and insert AA batteries for primary or backup power.
Built-in Compressor Protection
Damage can occur if your system’s compressor is restarted too soon after shutdown. This feature forces the compressor to wait for a few minutes before restarting. During the wait time, the display will show the message Waiting For Equipment under the room temperature reading.
When the safe wait time has elapsed, the message disappears, and the thermostat will show “Heat on” or “Cool on”.
