Before setting up new Verizon Fios equipment, it is important to disconnect any current internet and TV devices. This includes routers, Wi-Fi extenders, set-top boxes, and digital adapters. If you are keeping an existing Verizon router, you may skip to Step 2.
Step 1: Router Setup
This section details the process of connecting your Verizon router:
- Make Connections: Connect the coax cable from the router to a coax outlet, the Ethernet cable from the router's WAN port to an Ethernet outlet, and the power cord to an electrical outlet.
- Router Update: The router may take up to 10 minutes to update. Proceed when the front light is solid white.
- Wired or Wi-Fi: Choose between a wired connection to your computer or a Wi-Fi connection by using the network name and password found on the router label.
- Activation: Activate your service by opening a web browser on your computer and following the on-screen prompts.

Fios TV Voice Remote
The Fios TV Voice Remote is preprogrammed for Fios TV One and Fios TV One Mini. For Voice Control, pairing is required.
Pairing Instructions:
- Point the remote at the set-top box.
- Press and hold the Play/Pause and 0 buttons for three seconds.
- Release when the blue light flashes. The remote is paired when the light stops flashing.
