Wiring Fault Indicator (red) ThisLEDindicatorwillilluminatetowarnthe userthatawiringproblemexists,suchasbad ground,missinggroundorreversedwiring.Ifthis isilluminated,disconnectallelectricalequipment fromtheoutletandhaveanelectricianverifythe outletisproperlywired.TheUPSwillnotprovide surgeprotectionwithoutbeingpluggedintoa groundedandproperlywiredwalloutlet. 8. Multi Color Light Bar Thereare14lightbarmodesavailable,allowing youtochoosefromavarietyofcolorsandeffects topersonalizeyoursetup. 9. Lighting Mode Selector Button 1)Toturnonthemulticolorlightbar,pressand holdthelightingmodeselectorbuttonfor3 seconds. 2)Tocyclethroughthelightingmodes,quickly pressandreleasethelightingmodeselector button. 3)Todimorbrightenthemulticolorlightbar, quicklypressthelightingmodeselectorbutton twice. 4)Toturnoffthemulticolorlightbar,pressand holdthelightingmodeselectorbuttonforthree seconds. BATTERY REPLACEMENT ForReplacementofbatterieslocatedinaSERVICE ACCESSAREATheservicemanualshallincludethe followinginstructions: A)Servicingofbatteriesshouldbeperformedor supervisedbypersonnelknowledgeableabout batteriesandtherequiredprecautions. B)Whenreplacingbatteries,replacewiththesame typeandnumberofbatteriesorbatterypacks. C)CAUTION:Donotdisposeofbatteriesinafire. Thebatteriesmayexplode. D)CAUTION:Donotopenormutilatebatteries. Releasedelectrolyteisharmfultotheskinand eyes.Itmaybetoxic. E)CAUTION:Abatterycanpresentariskof electricalshockandhighshortcircuitcurrent.The followingprecautionsshouldbeobservedwhen workingonbatteries: a)Removewatches,rings,orothermetalobjects. b)Usetoolswithinsulatedhandles. c)Wearrubberglovesandboots. d)Donotlaytoolsormetalpartsontopofbatteries. e)Disconnectchargingsourceandloadpriorto installingormaintainingthebattery. f)Removebatterygroundsduringinstallation andmaintenancetoreducelikelihoodofshock. Removetheconnectionfromgroundifanypartof thebatteryisdeterminedtobegrounded. BATTERY REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES 1. TurnofftheUPS,unplugallconnectedequipment andunplugtheUPSfromACpowersource. 2. PlacetheUPSonitstopandremovetheretaining screwonthebatterycompartmentcover. 3. Slidethebatterycompartmentcovercompletely offtheunit. 4. Removethebatteryfromthecompartmentand disconnectthebatterywiresfromthebattery. 5. Installthereplacementbatterybyconnectingthe redwiretothepositive(+)terminalandtheblack wiretothenegative()terminalofthebattery. 6. Slidethebatterycompartmentcoveroverthe batteryandtightentheretainingscrew. 7. Chargetheunitfor8hourstoensuretheUPS performsexpectedruntime. 4 5 TROUBLESHOOTING Problem Thecircuitbreakerhastripped.
