Getting Started
Follow these steps to get started with your Philips Shaver Series 9000:
- Charging: Ensure the shaver is fully charged. The battery indicator will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes 1 hour and provides approximately 60 minutes of cordless shaving.
- Power On/Off: Press the power button to turn the shaver on or off.
- Shaving:
- Hold the shaver against your skin and move it gently over your face and neck.
- For optimal results, shave against the direction of hair growth.
- The shaver features flexible heads that adapt to the contours of your face for a comfortable shave.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your shaver.
Cleaning the Shaver:
- Dry Shaving: After each use, turn on the shaver and rinse it under warm running water.
- Wet Shaving: The Series 9000 can be used with foam or gel for a comfortable wet shave. Rinse the shaver head under warm running water after use.
- Cleaning the Shaving Heads:
- Open the shaving head by pressing the release button.
- Remove the shaving heads and clean them under running water.
- Allow the shaving heads to dry completely before reassembling.
- It is recommended to replace the shaving heads every 2 years for optimal performance.
Cleaning the Cleaning Pod (if applicable):
- Ensure the cleaning pod is connected to power.
- Place the shaver in the cleaning pod.
- Press the start button on the cleaning pod.
- The cleaning cycle typically takes about 5 minutes.
- After cleaning, allow the shaver to dry.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your shaver, please refer to the following:
- Shaver not turning on: Ensure the shaver is charged. If the battery is low, charge it for at least 15 minutes before use.
- Poor shaving performance: Clean the shaving heads. Ensure the shaving heads are properly seated. Replace the shaving heads if they are worn out.
