1 Critical Safety Note

Hearing Safety

[Danger] To avoid hearing damage, limit the amount of time you use headphones at high volume and set the volume to a safe level. The higher the volume, the shorter the safe listening time.

Guidelines for using headphones:

• Listen at a reasonable volume for a reasonable amount of time.
• After your hearing has adapted, be careful not to keep turning up the volume.
• Don't turn up the volume so high that you can't hear what's around you.
• Use headphones with caution or suspend use in potentially dangerous situations.

Excessive sound pressure from headphones can cause hearing loss.

• It is not recommended to wear headphones in both ears while driving, and doing so may be illegal in some areas.
• For safety reasons, avoid distracting yourself with music or phone calls while driving or in other potentially dangerous situations.

General Information: To avoid damage or failure

[Warning] Do not expose the headset to high temperatures.

• Do not drop the headset.
• Do not expose the headset to dripping or splashing water. (Refer to the IP rating of the specific product)
• Do not immerse the headset in water.
• Do not charge the headset when the connector or socket is wet.
• Do not use any cleaning agents containing alcohol, ammonia, benzene or abrasives to clean the product.
• If necessary, clean the product with a soft cloth dampened with a small amount of water or diluted neutral soap and water.
• Do not expose the integrated battery to high temperatures, such as direct sunlight, open flames or similar environments.
• Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced incorrectly. Replace only with batteries of the same type.
• To achieve a specific IP rating, the charging port cover must be closed.
• Throwing the battery into a fire or hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting it, can cause an explosion.
• Putting the battery in an extremely high temperature environment can cause an explosion or leakage of flammable liquids or gases.
• To avoid the risk of fire, the device can only be powered by an external power supply, whose output should comply with PS1 (output capacity less than 15W).

Operating and Storage Temperature

• Store the product in an environment with a temperature between -20°C (-4°F) and 50°C (122°F) and a relative humidity of up to 90%.
• High or low temperature environments may shorten the battery life. Replacing the battery with an incorrect type may seriously damage the headset and the battery (for example, some types of lithium batteries).

3 Getting Started

Battery Charging

Notice:

• Before using the headset, place the headset in the charging case and charge the battery for 2 hours. This ensures optimal battery power and life.
• Only use the original USB-C charging cable to avoid any damage.
• Charge after ending a call. Connect the headset to the charger and the headset will automatically turn off.
• If the headset is not used for a long time, the rechargeable battery will lose its capacity. To avoid this loss, fully charge the battery at least once every three months.

Earphone Charging: Put the earphones into the charging box, close the charging box cover, and the earphones start charging.

Charging Case: Connect one end of the USB-C charging cable to the charging case and the other end to a power source.

Hint: Normally, it takes 2 hours to fully charge the earphones or charging case via a USB cable.

Hint: The charging case is used as a portable backup battery to charge the earphones. When the charging case is fully charged, it can fully charge the earphones twice.

Wearing Method

1. Check the left-right orientation of the earphones.
2. Insert the earphones into your ears and twist gently until they fit securely.

Pairing the headset with a Wireless device for the first time

1. Make sure the earphones are fully charged and powered off.
2. Open the lid of the charging case and remove the earphones from the case. The headset is now in pairing mode and can be paired with a wireless device (e.g., a mobile phone).
3. Turn on the wireless function of the wireless device.
4. Pair the headset with the wireless device. Refer to the user manual of the wireless device.

Notice: After powering on, if the headset cannot find any previously connected wireless device, set it to pairing mode (after 1 minute, it automatically enters pairing mode if the last connected device is not available).

The following example shows how to pair the headset with a wireless device:

1. Turn on the wireless function of the wireless device and select Philips TAT3469.
2. If prompted to enter a headset password, enter '0000' (4 zeros). For wireless devices running version 3.0 or higher, no password is required.

Single earphone (mono mode)

Take out the left or right earphone from the charging case for mono mode. The earphone will automatically power on.

Notice: Take out the second earphone from the charging box and the two earphones will pair automatically.

Pairing with another wireless device

If you want to pair another wireless device with your headset, simply disconnect the currently connected device and pair with the other device as normal.

Notice: The headset memory can store 4 devices. If you try to pair more than 4 devices, the earliest paired device will be replaced by the most recently paired device.

4 Using headphones

Connecting to a wireless device

1. Turn on the wireless function of the wireless device.
2. Open the charging box cover and take out the earphones from the charging box. The headset will search for the last connected wireless device and automatically reconnect to it. If the last connected device is not available, the headset will search for and reconnect to the second last connected device.

Notice: If you turn on the headset first and then turn on the wireless function of your wireless device, you must go to the device's menu and manually connect the headset to the device.

Notice: With some wireless devices, the headset may not connect automatically. In this case, you must go to the device's menu and manually connect the headset to the wireless device.

5 Reset the headset

If you experience any pairing or connection issues, you can reset your headphones to factory settings by following these steps:

1. Enter the wireless device menu and delete Philips TAT3469 from the device list.
2. Turn off the wireless device function.
3. Take the earphones out of the charging case (make sure there is no device connected).
4. Press and hold the L/R multi-function touch keys for 4 seconds to clear all information.
5. Follow the steps in "Using the earphones - Connecting the earphones to a device".
6. Pair the earphones with your device and select Philips TAT3469.

The headset does not turn on.

The headset does not turn on.

The headset cannot pair with a wireless device

The wireless feature is not turned on. Turn on the wireless device and turn on the wireless feature on the device before turning on the headset.

Cannot pair

• Place both earbuds in the charging case.
• Make sure the wireless function of any previously connected wireless device is disabled.
• Go to Wireless Devices and delete Philips TAT3469 from the list.
• Pair the earbuds (see Pairing the earbuds with a Bluetooth device for the first time on page 6).

Cannot pair

The headset may be connected to a previously paired device. Turn off the connected device or move it out of the connection range.

The pairing may have been reset, or the headset may have been previously paired with another device. Follow the instructions in the user manual to pair the headset with the wireless device again. (See Pairing the headset with a wireless device for the first time on page 6).

The headset is connected to a wireless stereo-enabled phone, but music can only be played through the phone speakers

Refer to the user manual of your phone. Choose to listen to music through the headset.

Sound quality is poor, popping sound can be heard

• Wireless device is out of range. Reduce the distance between the headset and the device, or remove obstacles between them.
• Charge the headset.

The sound quality is very poor when the phone is transmitting very slowly, or when audio transmission is not possible at all

Make sure your phone supports not only (mono) HFP, but also A2DP and is compatible with BT4.0x (or higher) (see technical data on page 11).
