Please refer to layout drawings supplied by Ledalite in conjunction with these installation instructions. The information below shows the available aesthetics and components required to install a standalone DecoForm or back-to-back in a pattern and in Chicago Plenum application along with top tile installation. IMPORTANT: Read all instructions including fixture/sensor wiring AND mechanical details before beginning installation. Arrange boxed fixtures on floor in specified mounting locations, based on supplied layout drawings. Remove fixtures from boxes. i Power Feed - Continuous Row Power feed Driver Driver Driver · Every fixture contains its own driver & receives a direct power feed. ATTENTION: Install in accordance with local and national building and electrical codes. 4/21/2025 page 3 IS-DF Recessed Fixture Installation Sheet Preparing fixture to mount on T-Grid. 1 Bend mounting tab 2 Place fixture in T-Grid 3 Place fixture in T-grid Bend out the mounting tabs by 90° on each corner. Place fixture in T-Grid. Bend tabs flush against T-Bar to clear ceiling tile. 4 Secure fixture & tie-off to structure (3 acceptable options) Top Tile Retention Bracket Option #1 Option #2 Option #3 Choose the option that best prevents interference with adjacent fixtures and tiles. Screws supplied by others NOTE: MAKE SURE THE GUY WIRES CLEAR THE TOP TILE RETENTION BRACKETS ! ATTENTION: Install in accordance with local and national building and electrical codes. 4/21/2025 page 4 IS-DF Wiring and connections. 5 Standard electrical connections Recessed Fixture Installation Sheet Standard electrical 6 connections 7A CAUTION Remove screw using a #2 Phillips OR #2 Robertson screwdriver to open wire access door. Make electrical connections using wire nuts (supplied by others). Optional 6' flex whip is prewired inside the fixture. Remove from packaging and insert snap-in fitting into driver box. Close access door and reinstall screw using a #2 Phillips OR #2 Robertson screwdriver. Only use these knockouts for electrical connections between fixtures. 7B OPTIONAL: Electrical connections between fixtures Fold fixture tabs (No Top 8 Tile) 9 Recycle X Remove knockouts and feed the wires through electrical conduit (supplied by others). Ensure the correct wire color code is maintained. ATTENTION: Recommended way of electrical connection between fixtures (daisy chained). NOTE: Secure flexible metal conduit to structure as per local electrical code guidelines. ATTENTION: If there is no Top Tile being used, fold both fixture tabs down so they are not visible from underneath. Recycle all packaging materials and unused contents. ! ATTENTION: Install in accordance with local and national building and electrical codes. 4/21/2025 page 5 IS-DF Top Tile Installation Sheet Ledalite Tiles Preparing Top Tile Ledalite supplied 20.5" x 20.5" size - acoustic, acrylics, metal and air return tiles by Ledalite. 1 Rotate the top brackets 2 Bend tabs up on brackets Rotate the top brackets 3 back in place Rotate both Top Tile retention brackets, inwards, about 45°. Bend both center tabs upwards on both Top Tile retention brackets. Rotate both Top Tile retention brackets back in place. 4 Bend tabs up on fixture 5 Place Top Tile 6 Fold Tabs (Air Return) Bend both fixture tabs upwards so they form a 90° angle (use needle nose pliers, if needed). Place Top Tile between the bent-up tabs. ATTENTION: For acrylic tiles, follow steps 1-4 of the Chicago Plenum section to add the metal backing plate on top of the tile. NOTE: Gloves are recommended when handling Acrylic tiles to prevent debris or marks. Also, remove the protective film from Acrylic tiles. ATTENTION: If there is an air return Top Tile being used, fold all 6 tabs down on all corners to obtain vertical retention. ! ATTENTION: Install in accordance with local and national building and electrical codes. 4/21/2025 page 6 IS-DF Top Tile Installation Sheet Ledalite Tiles Preparing Top Tile Ledalite supplied (continued) 20.5" x 20.5" size - acoustic, acrylics, metal and air return tiles by Ledalite. ! Attention 7 Finishing Make sure the tile is sitting flush with the fixture. Place adjacent grid ceiling tiles back into the grid, if they were removed, to finish installation. ! ATTENTION: Install in accordance with local and national building and electrical codes. 4/21/2025 page 7 IS-DF Top Tile Installation Sheet Customer Supplied Tiles Preparing Top Tile Customer supplied 24" x 24" nominal size - tiles for stand-alone fixtures. ! DISCLAIMER! TOP TILES MUST COMPLY WITH LOCAL BUILDING CODES AND REGULATIONS. PLEASE ENSURE ALL MATERIALS USED MEET THE NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS. ! Warning! Maximum allowable thickness is 0.75" (19mm) and maximum allowable weight is 5lbs (2.2kg) for all Top Tiles. 1 Rotate the top brackets 2 Bend tabs up on bracket 3 Bend tabs up on fixture Rotate both Top Tile retention brackets, inwards, 180°. Bend both the tabs at the ends upwards on both Top Tile retention brackets. Bend both fixture tabs upwards so they form a 90° angle (use needle nose pliers, if needed). 4 Place Top Tile 5 Finishing Place Top Tile between the bent-up tabs. NOTE: Top Tile will overhang by ~2" from the fixture Make sure the tile is sitting flush with the fixture. ! ATTENTION: Install in accordance with local and national building and electrical codes. 4/21/2025 page 8 IS-DF Top Tile Installation Sheet Customer Supplied Tiles Preparing Top Tile Customer supplied 24" x 24" nominal size - tiles for fixtures sitting back-to-back or custom tiles. ! DISCLAIMER! CUSTOM TOP TILES MUST COMPLY WITH LOCAL BUILDING CODES AND REGULATIONS. PLEASE ENSURE ALL MATERIALS USED MEET THE NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS. ! Warning! Maximum allowable thickness is 0.75" (19mm) and maximum allowable weight is 5lbs (2.2kg) for customer supplied and/or custom top tiles. 1 Cut tile to size 2 Top Tile installation 3 Finishing 20.50" 20.50" Carefully cut tile to size: 20.50" x 20.50" (521mm x 521mm). NOTE: Cutting materials from Ledalite or 3rd parties may void warranty. Follow steps 1 to 4 of "Top Tile Installation Sheet Ledalite Tiles" and then place top tiles between the bent-up tabs. Make sure the tile is sitting flush with the fixture. ! ATTENTION: Install in accordance with local and national building and electrical codes. 4/21/2025 page 9 IS-DF Top Tile Installation Sheet Chicago Plenum Preparing Top Tile Ledalite supplied 20.5" x 20.5" nominal size acoustic and acrylic tiles by Ledalite. 1 Retention bracket setup 2 Remove metal fins For Acrylic: 3 Place metal backing plate 6mm (0.23") For Acoustic: 14mm (0.54") Start by following steps 1 to 4 of "Top Tile Installation Sheet Ledalite Tiles" and then select appropriate metal backing plate for your tile (acrylic or acoustic). NOTE: Gloves are recommended when handling Acrylic tiles to prevent debris or marks. Remove all fins from the metal backing plate. Optional: Use metal snips. NOTE: Fins in the metal backing plate are for manufacturing use only and not used in installation. Place the metal backing plate on top of the tile. 4 Place Top Tile 5 Finishing Place Top Tile with metal backing plate between the bent-up tabs. ATTENTION: Ensure the Top Tile is fully covered by the metal backing plate and no edges of the top tile are visible. Make sure the tile is sitting flush with the fixture. ! WARNING RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY · Wear gloves and safety glasses at all times when removing luminaire from carton, installing, servicing or performing maintenance. · Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while it is on. CAUTION RISK OF PRODUCT DAMAGE ·Never connect luminaires and/or components under load with supply voltage turned on. ·Do not mount or support these luminaires in a manner that can cut the outer jacket or damage wire insulation. ·Do not restrict fixture ventilation. Allow for some volume of airspace around luminaire. Avoid covering luminaire with insulation, foam or other material that will prevent convection or conduction cooling. ·Do not exceed luminaire maximum ambient temperature. ·Do not modify the luminaire. ·Only use luminaire in its intended application and location. ·LED products are polarity sensitive. Ensure proper polarity before installation. ·Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) can damage LED. Personal grounding equipment must be worn during all installation and servicing of the luminaire. ·Do not touch individual electrical components as this can cause ESD, shorten LED life, or impact LED performance. ·Some components inside the luminaire may not be serviceable. In the unlikely event your luminaire may require service, stop using it immediately and contact the Customer Care Call Center at 800-555-0050. ·Always read the luminaire's complete installation instructions prior to installation for any additional luminaire specific warnings. ·In the case of HID or Fluorescent luminaires, regular re-lamping is required to keep luminaire operating within safe limits ·Do not install damaged product. Handling and installing damaged products can potentially increase the risks mentioned.
