Getting Started
This guide provides instructions for setting up and using your Technics EAH-AZ100 earphones.
Package Contents:
- Charging cradle
- Earphones (L/R)
- USB Type-C charging cable
- Earpieces (XS/TP, S/P, M, ML/MG, L/G)
Charging the Earphones:
- Place the earphones in the charging cradle.
- Connect the charging cradle to a USB PD supported AC adapter using the supplied USB Type-C cable.
- Alternatively, charge from a computer's USB Type-C port.
Charging Times:
- Earphones: Approx. 2.0 hours
- Charging cradle/USB: Approx. 2.5 hours
- Earphones + Charging cradle/USB: Approx. 3.0 hours
Operating Time:
- Earphones (AAC): Approx. 10.0 hours
- Earphones (SBC): Approx. 8.0 hours
- Earphones (LDAC): Approx. 7.0 hours
- Earphones (LC3): Approx. 5.0 hours
- Earphones + Charging cradle (AAC): Approx. 28 hours
- Earphones + Charging cradle (SBC): Approx. 24 hours
- Earphones + Charging cradle (LDAC): Approx. 18 hours
- Earphones + Charging cradle (LC3): Approx. 15 hours
Bluetooth Pairing:
- Mode 1 (1st pairing):
- Open the charging cradle with the earphones inside.
- The earphones will enter pairing mode automatically.
- On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and select "Technics EAH-AZ100".
- Mode 2 (2nd pairing):
- With the earphones in the cradle, press and hold the touch sensor on both earphones for 5-8 seconds until the Bluetooth indicator flashes.
- On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and select "Technics EAH-AZ100".
Control Functions:
Left Earphone (L):
- Play/Pause: x1 tap
- Next Track: x2 taps
- Volume Up: x3 taps
- Voice Assistant/Noise Cancelling toggle: x1 tap and hold for 2 seconds
Right Earphone (R):
- Play/Pause: x1 tap
- Previous Track: x2 taps
- Volume Down: x3 taps
- Noise Cancelling toggle: x1 tap and hold for 2 seconds
Call Functions (L or R):
- Answer/End Call: x1 tap
- Reject Call: x2 taps
Important Safety Instructions
WARNING:
- Ingestion Hazard: This product contains a button cell or coin battery. Death or serious injury can occur if ingested. A swallowed battery can cause internal chemical burns in as little as 2 hours. Keep new and used batteries out of reach of children. Seek immediate medical attention if a battery is suspected to be swallowed or inserted inside any part of the body.
- Even used batteries may cause severe injury or death. Call a local poison control center for treatment information.
- Battery type: 1454, Normal voltage: 3.7 V
- Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above specified temperature rating, or incinerate batteries. Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage, or explosion.
- This product contains non-replaceable batteries.
- Remove and recycle or dispose of used batteries according to local regulations and keep away from children. Do not dispose of batteries in household trash or incinerate.
- Do not use this apparatus near water.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched.
- Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods.
- Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
- Clean only with a dry cloth.
- Do not use, store, or leave in places with high humidity, dust, smoke, steam, or high temperatures.
- Do not expose this unit to rain, moisture, dripping, or splashing.
- Do not use the charging cradle or USB charging cable when they are wet.
- If the terminal of the USB charging cable is inserted while wet, a short circuit may occur.
- Use only manufacturer's recommended accessories.
- Do not remove covers.
- Do not repair this unit by yourself.
- Avoid using the unit covered with a blanket, as heat can accumulate.
- Avoid extreme temperatures during use, storage, or transportation.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire or a hot oven, or crush or cut them.
- Do not attach metallic objects to the wireless charging pad or unit.
- When using the wireless charging pad, do not place metallic objects on it.
- When charging with the wireless charging pad, remove covers from the charging case if they interfere with charging.
- Qi standard wireless chargers are supported, but not all commercially available chargers are guaranteed to work.
- This unit does not support wireless chargers that are not Qi standard certified or have magnetic attachments.
- Do not heat or expose the built-in battery to flame.
- Do not leave the unit in a car exposed to direct sunlight with windows closed.
- Replacement of the battery with an incorrect type can defeat a safeguard.
CAUTION:
- Do not place this unit near a heat source.
- Do not listen at high volume in environments where hearing surrounding sounds is important for safety (e.g., railroad crossings, construction sites).
- Keep this unit away from strong magnetic fields, as they may affect operation.
- The earphones may become warm while charging or immediately after charging. Be aware of potential skin reactions.
- Keep earphones and earpieces out of reach of children and pets to prevent swallowing.
- Securely attach earpieces to prevent them from coming off and causing injury or sickness.
- Discontinue use if you experience discomfort or allergic reactions.
- Excessive sound pressure can cause hearing loss. Do not use at high volume for extended periods.
- If you experience ringing in your ears, reduce volume or discontinue use.
- Do not use while operating a motorized vehicle; it is illegal and creates a traffic hazard. Use extreme caution in potentially hazardous situations.
- This unit may receive radio interference from mobile telephones. Increase separation if interference occurs.
- Use only the supplied USB charging cord when connecting to a computer.

Power requirements of the wired charging devices
The power delivered by the charger must be min 2.5 Watts and max 2.5 Watts to achieve maximum charging speed. The USB charging cord is for charging only and cannot be used for data communication.
