Operation
The TAB 7509 entryphone is designed to receive calls from Indoor Stations, Outdoor Stations, and the Reception switchboard. It also supports self-start of the Outdoor Station, intercom calls, and lock release.
Important: For the indoor station to function, an ID code must be configured. Pressing a button will produce a beep if an ID is assigned, or three beeps if no ID is assigned or it has been deleted.
Answering a call
Calls from an outdoor station or intercom device can be answered during or after ringing. Lift the handset to answer and replace it to end the call.
Receiving a door call
When a door call button is pressed (connected directly or via interface 6120), the entryphone rings with a distinct tone. Lifting the handset stops the ringtone.
For landing calls using a push button connected to terminals FP and M, the ringtone duration depends on the push button press time (max 10s). The melody cannot be configured in this case.
Making an intercom call
To make an intercom call, lift the handset and press the configured button for the desired indoor station. A tone indicates the call is in progress. If the called station is busy, a tone will be heard on the calling entryphone. Communication activates automatically upon answering. Hang up the handset to end the conversation. Maximum conversation time is 5 minutes by default.
Missed call from switchboard
If enabled via SaveProg, the "Ringtone mute" button signals unanswered calls from a reception switchboard. This signal stops when any operation is performed.
Muting the ringtone during a call
Pressing the ringtone mute button [B] during a call silences the ringtone for the current and subsequent calls. This function applies to all incoming calls.
Lock control
Press the lock release button [C] to send the door lock release command to the outdoor station (default: last calling outdoor station).
Self-start
With dedicated button [A]: Lift the handset, press button [A] briefly to self-start and communicate with the master outdoor station. Replace the handset to end the conversation.
With configured button: Lift the handset and press the button configured for a specific outdoor station to perform self-start and communicate with that station.
Calling a reception switchboard
To call a reception switchboard, lift the handset and press button [B] (or the button configured for this purpose).
Alert
In conjunction with the reception switchboard 40510, the indoor station can send signals to the switchboard operator, even when the Due Fili bus is busy. The FP-M input can be used without keys, but this disables the local landing call function.
Alert Configuration (via SaveProg):
- Enabling: Disabled (default) or Enabled.
- Polarity state active: Contact normally open (default) or Contact normally closed.
- Activation delay: 0.1s (default), 0.5s, 1s, or 2s.
- Signalling mode: None, LED (default), Sound, or Call repeater output.
Status and Timers:
STATUS | LED timer | Sound timer | Call repeater timer |
---|---|---|---|
Indoor station waits for alert from switchboard | Flashing (0.5s cycle) | A 2 KHz tone for 0.2s | Activation for 1.6s every 3.2s |
Indoor station received confirmation from switchboard | Flashing (0.1s cycle) | A 1 KHz tone for 0.1s | Activation for 0.4s every 0.8s |

Installer Configurations
Basic entryphone configurations include:
- ID code configuration: Performed on the first indoor station of a group for individual or simultaneous calls.
- Secondary ID configuration: For entryphones associated with a master indoor station.
- Programmable button configuration: For auxiliary services or intercom calls.
Configurations require the system to be on, without active communication, and after connecting indoor stations and configuring outdoor stations. Caution: All configuration/deletion phases must be performed with the handset lifted.
Configuration can be done via:
- "Simplified" configuration mode: Using indoor station buttons (available from firmware version 1.06).
- "Standard" configuration mode: Using indoor station buttons.
- "SaveProg" software: For the Due Fili Plus system.
Note: ID configuration is only performed from the indoor station and is not available via SaveProg.

- The ID code is associated, and communication ends. An acoustic signal confirms success.
Note: For alphanumerical entrance panels, type the ID code and confirm with the call button.
Note: If an ID is already associated, the outdoor station emits a lower tone beep, and the operation must be repeated.
Secondary ID Code Configuration
This is required when multiple indoor stations need to be called simultaneously using the same button or call code. The "master" indoor station is configured first, and then additional stations are configured with the secondary ID code. Up to 3 additional stations can be associated without SaveProg software.
Configuration procedure (“Simplified” mode):
- Lift the handset and bring it to your ear.
- Press and hold the lock release button [C] for 6s. A "beep" (0.5s) will sound.

- Press the button on the MASTER outdoor station corresponding to the "master" indoor station.
- The secondary ID code is associated, and communication ends. An acoustic signal confirms success.
Configuration procedure in “Standard” mode
- Lift the handset and bring it to your ear.
- Simultaneously press and hold buttons [A] and [B] until LED [G] flashes.
- Release buttons [A] and [B].
- Press and hold buttons [A] and [B] for 2s until an audible signal is heard, initiating communication with the outdoor station.
- Release buttons [A] and [B]. Caution: You have 5s to press buttons [A] and [B] again. If not pressed within 5s, repeat steps 1-3.
- Press the button on the MASTER outdoor station for the desired call.
- The ID code is associated, and communication ends. An acoustic signal confirms success.
Caution: When configuring primary and secondary IDs, entryphones automatically acquire a code based on the call button or code used. If ID=8 is assigned to a second entryphone, the system might automatically assign ID=72 (or 73/74 if they exist). A call to ID=8 rings all stations in the group. A call to ID=72 rings only the specific entryphone.
Note: To delete from a group, refer to the "Default data restore procedure" section.
