Product Overview
Mounting of ion412_CPE
The ion4I2…CPE can be mounted on a pole. Perform the following steps for appropriate installation.
Pole Mount
To mount ion4I2…CPE on a pole, use the pole holder & the hose clamp provided.
- Attach the pole holder to the backside of the CPE.
- The hose clamp is slided through the back of ion4I2_CPE as shown below.
- Wrap the hose clamps around the pole. Tighten the strap by turning the screws clockwise.
Getting the ion412_CPE Online
Step 1 : Power up
ion4I2_CPE can be powered up using PoE Injector (24V) as shown below:
Note: For powering on the CPE, use only HFCL PoE Injector supplied along with the unit. Plug and Adaptor will vary by country/ region.
Step 2: Login and Configure the CPE
Follow the steps mentioned below and connect CPE to a network :
- Connect ethernet cable to the laptop/ computer.
- Connect the other end of ethernet cable to the data port on PoE Injector.
- Connect CPE’s PoE supported ethernet port to PoE Injector power port. Device will get powered up.
- Open web browser and enter “CPE IP address” in the address bar. The default static IP address for 2×2 CPE is set to “192.168.1.1”.
- A login screen will appear.
- Enter the default login credential details: User- admin, Password- HFcl!@23#ion

Safety Precautions
Observe following safety precautions to avoid damage to the ion4I2_CPE :
- Do not power the device during installation
- Do not subject the device to high temperatures
- Keep away from high voltage cables
- Do not power off the unit in the middle of an \v upgrade process
- The gland should be ground facing all the time
- Do not open the enclosure when the CPE is working
- Fasten the device tightly
