Getting Connected
- Search for HeimSmart on App Store™/Google Play™ or scan the QR codes below to download and install our App.
Note:
Google Play™ is a trademark of Google Inc., and App Store™ is a trademark of Apple Inc. - Plug the Ethernet cable into the Base Station and router, then connect the Base Station to power.
- Power on the camera.
Option 1:
Install 4 AA batteries into your camera to power it on. Please observe the correct polarity when inserting each battery. 
Notes:
- We recommend to use your camera at -20°C~S0°C(-4° F~ 122° F).
- If the Battery Indicator turns red, it means that the battery power of camera gets low. Please charge or replace the batteries in time.
- Do NOT mix old and new batteries or different brands of batteries.
- DO NOT charge the camera through the Micro USB Port if your battery is non-rechargeable.
Option 2:
Connect a SV 2A adapter to the camera’s Micro USB Port to power it on. 
Option 3:
Install 4 AA rechargeable batteries, then connect a solar panel to the camera’s Micro USB Port to supply power for it. 
Launch HeimSmart app, register an account with a valid email and log in. Then follow the steps below to connect your Base Station and camera to HeimSmart.
Notes:
- Please allow HeimSmart app to use your WLAN & Cellular Data and access your location.
- Make sure your phone and the Base Station are connected to the same router’s network. Otherwise, the HeimSmart app will not be able to find the Base Station.
- If your phone and the Base Station are connected to the same router’s network, but HeimSmart still cannot find the Base Station, please long press the Pair/Reset button for 10s to reset the Base Station.
Step 1:
Tap+ on the Devices interface.
Step 2:
Select Base Station. 
Step 3:
Ensure the base station is connected to your router, and tap Next.
Step 4:
Ensure the base station is powered on, and tap Next. 
Step 5:
Connect your mobile phone to the same router’s network as the base station, and tap Next.
Step 6:
Wait for HeimSmart to discover your base station.
Tip:
If HeimSmart cannot discover your base station, please
- ensure that you’ve connected the Base Station to the router through the Ethernet cable.
- ensure that your mobile phone and the base station are connected to the same network.
- long press the Pair/Reset button to reset the base station and try again.
Step 7:
Select your base station after it’s discovered.
Step 8:
Keep the camera as near as possible to the base station (within 1m/3.3ft) when pairing them, and tap Next.
Step 9:
Pair the camera with the base station. 
- Ensure the camera is powered on.
- Press the Pair/Reset button on the camera three times, and you will hear “Pairing Mode”.
- Press the Pair/Reset button on the base station three times, and you will hear Di sound from it.
- Wait until you hear “Pairing successful” from the camera, and then tap Next.

One Base Station could pair with up to four cameras. If you have bought more than one camera, please follow the steps below to get your second/ third/fourth camera paired with the base station. (Optional)
Step 1:
Tap+ on the upper right corner of the Devices interface.
Step 2:
Select Cam Bl.
Step 3:
Select your base station
Step 4:
Keep the camera as near as possible to the base station(within 1m/3.3ft} when pairing them, and tap Next.
Step 5:
Pair the camera with the base station.
- Ensure the camera is powered on.
- Press the Pair/Reset button on the camera three times, and you will hear “Pairing Mode”.
- Press the Pair/Reset button on the base station three times, and you will hear Di sound from it.
- Wait until you hear “Pairing successful” from the camera, and then tap Next.
