Dashboard Screen User Manual and Installation Guide
Introduction
This document provides installation instructions and a user manual for the Evooor Dashboard Screen, a product designed to enhance your in-car experience with a clear, unobstructed Tesla instrument display. Based on a Linux system, it offers stable software decoding of original vehicle protocols and an elegant UI.
What's Included
The following components are included in the package:
- A: A grey rendering of the main dashboard screen unit.
- B: A grey rendering of an OBD connector harness with a red circle around the connector.
- C: A grey rendering of a small module labeled "MODEL TSL-HOL" and "TSL-HO2", indicating it's for the Central Control.
- D: A grey rendering of a small module labeled "MODEL TSL-HOL" and "TSL-HO2", indicating it's for the Passenger Seat.
- E: Two grey wiring harnesses with multiple connectors.
- F: A grey wiring harness specifically for the Passenger Seat.
- G: Ten black zip ties.
- H: An orange adhesive pad.
- I: A black mounting bracket.
Installation Instructions
Note: During installation, remove both the left and right door panels from the original vehicle simultaneously to facilitate easier installation. If you accidentally disconnect a plug, simply reconnect it.
Front Installation
- Locate the small plastic pieces on the left and right sides of the dashboard.
- Use a prying tool to remove the plastic panel.
- Lift the dashboard panels on both sides.
- Pull back the plastic panels below the driver and passenger seats, paying special attention to the passenger side.
- Lift the floor mat at the base of the passenger side.
- Unplug the blue connector on the inner side.
- Place Harness A on the dashboard, routing the end with the adapter down to the passenger floor mat area.
- Connect Harness A to the original blue connector in the vehicle.
- Connect the other end of Harness A back to the original blue plug location.
- Organize the harness and replace the floor mat.
- Reinstall the threshold plastic panels as shown in the image.
- Arrange the harness on the dashboard, placing it beneath the dashboard panel.
- Ensure the harness below the dashboard does not obstruct panel clips.
- Connect the small connector on Harness A to the instrument display screen.
- After connecting the harness, organize it below the dashboard, place the display screen on the dashboard, and reinstall the dashboard clips.
- Once the dashboard panel is reinstalled, insert the display screen into the dashboard vent, manually lifting the upper dashboard panel if needed.
- Connect the other plug on the harness to the control box (model SV HIV1.0).
- Once the control box is connected, hide it below the dashboard panel.
- Route the OBD plug on Harness A through the threshold area down to the driver's side, connecting it to the OBD port.
- After plugging in the OBD port, hide the remaining section under the floor mat.
- Reinstall the plastic threshold panel.
- Reattach the small plastic panels on both sides and cover them with the door edge weather stripping.
- Remove the door interior panel, prying off the top trim panel with a prying tool and disconnecting any attached harnesses.
- Disconnect the wiring harnesses for the lights on both sides.
- Remove the wiring harness connectors on both door panels.
- Reattach the upper door panel of the original vehicle.
- Use a socket tool to unscrew the three bolts on the door panel.
- Remove the lower door, placing a small stool underneath for support so the entire door panel does not need to be detached.
- Connect Harness B to the control box, then connect the control box labeled (SV SIV1.0) to the passenger door for adapter installation.
- Disconnect the original blue plug, located in the middle of the lower door trim.
- Complete the adapter connection for Harness B, inserting the other end of Harness B into the original blue plug position.
- Organize the harness and reinstall the original interior trim panel. Mirror these steps on the driver's side to complete the installation.

Display in P Mode
When shifting to Park (P) after parking, the following interface is displayed automatically:
- Headlight Status Display
- Time
- Park (P) Icon
- Vehicle Status indicators.
If the car door is not properly closed or the gear is still in Park (P), for safety reasons, the display will remain on the Park (P) interface.
Park (P) Mode Interface Controls
When in Park (P) mode, swipe down on the top of the screen with your finger to access controls:
- Volume Adjustment control.
- Enter CarPlay Connection ( icon indicates manual connection if grey).
- Enter Android Auto Connection (? icon).
- Enter the Settings menu (⚙️ icon).
Drive (D) Mode Interface
In Drive (D) mode, the display shows:
- Speedometer Display (in KM/H)
- Time
- Odometer Display (e.g., HP/KM)
- Gear Position Display (e.g., 'D').
Settings Menu
Access the settings menu by pressing and holding the right-side scroll wheel to the left.
System Settings:
- Language Settings: Options include English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Arabic, and more.
- Time Zone Switch: Select the appropriate time zone for different countries (e.g., UTC+08:00).
- Audio Output: Toggle between original car speakers and the new system's speakers.
- Hour System: Choose between 12-hour or 24-hour time format (e.g., 24H).
- US Speed Limit: Configure speed limit settings as per U.S. standards (Toggle ON/OFF).
- OTA Upgrade: Update software.
- PhoneLink: Full screen display options.
- Day and Night: Choose between Day, Night, or Auto modes.
- Brightness: Adjust brightness level (e.g., 100).
- Theme: Select UI theme (e.g., UI2).
CarPlay and Front View Functions: You can choose between full-screen display or split-screen display for CarPlay and front view functions.
UI Selection: After selecting the desired UI, tap "Back" to confirm your choice.
Software Updates: Updates can be done through Wi-Fi. To check the version, press and hold the right-side scroll wheel, and version information will appear.
CarPlay Connection
CarPlay Connection Interface:
- In your phone's settings, turn on Bluetooth (?) and find the corresponding Bluetooth name of the device (e.g., CarKit-9DE1).
- On your phone, tap the device's Bluetooth name to begin pairing.
- When connecting, a prompt will appear on your phone. Select "Use CarPlay" () to connect to the car's infotainment system.
CarPlay Connection UI: Displays phone apps, navigation, music, and vehicle speed/gear status.
Android Auto Connection
The connection method for Android Auto (?) is similar to that of CarPlay. The display shows vehicle speed, gear position, battery status, and other relevant information.
OTA Upgrade
App-OTA Upgrade and Protocol-OTA Upgrade:
To perform an OTA upgrade:
- Turn on your phone's Wi-Fi hotspot (?), set the Wi-Fi name to "car" and the password to "12345678."
- The screen will automatically connect to the phone's hotspot.
- When the download section on the left changes from grey to a darker color, click on "Download."
- Once the screen switches to the Park (P) mode interface, do not perform any other actions. After 2 seconds, the upgrade interface will appear.
Protocol Box Upgrade Method:
- Download and install the app, then grant necessary permissions.
- Copy the upgrade file to the root directory of your phone.
- Open the app, tap "Connect," and find XLBLE. Note the names: Main box: XLBLE_LCD, Left box: XLBLE_LEFT, Right box: XLBLE_RIGHT.
- Select the corresponding file and then tap "Upgrade."
- During the upgrade, do not leave the upgrade page. Ensure you are upgrading the correct box by checking the name.
Control Wheel Functions:
- Press and hold the left scroll wheel to force a restart.
- Turn the left scroll wheel up or down to adjust the volume.
- Press and hold the right scroll wheel to enter the settings menu (⚙️).
- When the "OTA upgrade" and "Update" buttons are visible, press and hold the right scroll wheel to the right to display the software version.
