The Guest Internet STAR kits can be used with any ISP service, including satellite services such as Starlink to provide a managed community WiFi service. Satellite Internet can be accessed almost everywhere in the world and can be shared with homes in a community when the Internet service is managed using a Guest Internet controller. The unique Guest Internet features maintain good Internet performance for many users while ensuring that the ISP requirements are not exceeded.
The STAR-10 kit can provide an Internet service for 25 to 50 people when connected to an ISP with 100Mb/s data speed. The GIS-K1 is an economical Internet controller with WiFi for installation indoors. The STAR-10 kit includes the AP120 outdoor wireless access point that connects to the GIS-K1 LAN port. People inside and outside the building can connect to the Internet using the STAR-10 installation kit. The GIS-K1 sets rules for Internet access so that the service from one ISP, such as a Starlink antenna, can be shared between many people, and will ensure that the ISP data capacity is not exceeded which may result in a service interruption. The rules include the duration of access, maximum data speed, maximum data volume, and time at which the service can be used. Internet access is provided with a voucher that can be printed using the GIS-K1 and the voucher access code has the rules for Internet access.
