MOUNTING AND WIRING THE LIGHT

NOTE: DO NOT MOUNT ON THE GROUND, RECOMMENDED INSTALLATION HEIGHT IS 6½  FEET TO 10 FEET

  1. Attach the cross bar (D) to the junction  box using the (2) mounting  screws (F).
  2. Connect supply wires with wire nuts (E) as shown in the figure above. Black wire to the Black supply wire (Live).
White wire to the White supply wire (Neutral).
  3. You may use the optional gasket (C) at this point.
  4. Install the light fixture to the cross bar (D).Use silicon sealant (not included) around the perimeter of the light to seal for moisture.
  5. Screw in the stainless steel screw (B) to hold fixture in place. Insert plastic screw cover (A) into screw hole.
  6. Turn on your electricity after installation is completed.
  7. Turn on power switch.(If power switch is not on, the light will not operate)ORTECH-SSL-SO-Security-Lights-IMAGE (2)
  • NEUTRAL = White LIVE = Black RED = Load Apply silicone caulking around the edges of cover plate and in any open holes for a watertight seal.

MOTION SENSOR SENSITIVITY

  1. The sensor is affected by brightness, temperature, and moving objects.
  2. Do NOT install near other sources of light, as this can affect motion sensor detection.
Significant temperature changes may cause sensor malfunctions, so avoid placing the sensor near vents, heat exhausts or AC units.
  3. When installing, ensure the sensor is not placed too close to trees. Movement of branches in the wind may trigger the sensor.
  4. The sensor cannot detect infrared light through glass or object.ORTECH-SSL-SO-Security-Lights-IMAGE (6) ORTECH-SSL-SO-Security-Lights-IMAGE (6)
  5. The sensor is very sensitive to lateral motion, with a maximum detection distance of 50 ft. (Fig. 2)
  6. In contrast, the sensor may not be very sensitive to movement directly towards the light and may occasionally detect such movement within 12 ft, due to the small displacement involved. (Fig. 3)ORTECH-SSL-SO-Security-Lights-IMAGE (8)

SETTING THE MOTION SENSOR

MODE SETTING

  • OFF MODE: No one is detected at night, the light goes out . Sensing a human delay (according to the TIME knob delay), the light will turn on at 100% .
  • AUTO MODE: The non sensing human light maintains 30% brightness at night. Sensing a human delay (according to the TIME knob delay), the light will turn on at 100% . (please note this 30% of brightness is only suitable for bulbs or fixtures with dimming function.)
  • 3H MODE: Turn off the lights during the day, maintain 100% brightness at night, and switch to sensing mode after 3 hours, cycling for 3H every day.
  • PC MODE: lights off during the day, bright at night. (Equivalent to D2D light sensing lamp application)ORTECH-SSL-SO-Security-Lights-IMAGE (9)

SENS SETTING
Adjust the sensing distance, with a minimum adjustment of 2 0% and a maximum adjustment of 100% .ORTECH-SSL-SO-Security-Lights-IMAGE (10)

TIME SETTING
Adjust the sensing delay time (Test -5 seconds -20 minutes)

TO ACTIVATE MANUAL MODE

  • STEP ONE: Motion Sensor Mode: Connect the light fixture to a wall switch. Switch to ON position for Motion Sensor Mode.
  • STEP TWO: Manual Mode: Quickly toggle switch OFF and then ON wi thin 1-3 seconds, the lamp directly enters the constant light mode.
  • STEP THREE: Manual Override: Motion sensing can be de activated with wall switch so light stays on through the night. Motion sensing will automatically reactivate the following night.

TO RESET AUTOMATIC MODE

  • STEP ONE: Turn Switch OFF.
  • STEP TWO: Wait 20 seconds.
  • STEP THREE: Turn Switch ON.
  • STEP FOUR: The light will go through a warm-up cycle before resetting back to the Motion Mode.ORTECH-SSL-SO-Security-Lights-IMAGE (11)

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  1. To clean the surface of the light, use mild soap and water.
  2. Do not use scouring pads, powders, steel wool or any other abrasive materials.
  3. Do not immerse in water.ORTECH-SSL-SO-Security-Lights-IMAGE (12)

TROUBLE SHOOTING

SYMPTOMPOSSIBLE CAUSE
Lights will not come on.
  1. Light switch is turned off.
  2. Light is loose or burned out.
  3. Fuse is blown or circuit breaker is turned off.
  4. Daylight turn off is in effect (recheck after dark).
  5. Incorrect circuit wiring, if this is a new installation.
  6. Re-aim the sensor to cover desired area.
Lights come on in day light.1 . Light control may be installed in a relatively dark location.

Lights come on for no apparent reason.

1 . Light control may be sensing small animals or automobile traffic (re-aim sensor). Range is set too high. (Reduce Range setting).
Lights stay on continuously.
  1. A lamp is positioned too close to the sensor or pointed at nearby objects that cause heat to trigger the sensor. (Reposition the lamp away from the sensor or nearby objects).
  2. Light control is pointed toward a heat source like an air vent, dryer vent, or brightly-painted heat reflective surface. (Reposition sensor. Reduce Range).
Lights flash on and off.
  1. Heat or light from the lamps may be turning the light control on and off. (Reposition the lamps away from the sensor).
  2. Heat being reflected from other objects may be affecting the sensor. (Reposition sensor).
