SETTING UP
Method 1: Set Up Your Router Using the Web Admin Panel
Power On
Connect your router to a power supply. Your router will broadcast both 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi signal with the SSID: GL-BE3600-xxx and GL-BE3600-xxx-5G.
Connect Your Device to Router
Via Wi-Fi
Use OR Code
Scan the QR code printed on the bottom of the router. Then click. ‘Join’ in the pop-up window to connect.
Manual Login
Find and connect to GL-BE3600-xxx on your device then enter the default password printed on the router to join the network.
Search the SSID and connect to it
Via LAN
Plug the cable connecting to your computer into LAN port.
Set Up Router
In a web browser, visit http://192.168.8.1 to set up the router; start by choosing your preferred language.

Method 2: Set Up Your Router Using the GL.iNet APP
Scan the QR code or search “glinet” in App store to download and install the APP.
Scan to download
Login to your account, choose to add new device and follow in-app instructions to set up
Repair / Reset
- To repair your network, Press and hold the Reset button, and release the button when the touch screen shows “Release to Repair Mode”.
- To reset your router to factory settings: Press and hold the Reset button, and release the button when the touch screen shows “Release to Reset Mode”. (Note: This clears all your existing settings.)

TROUBLESHOOTING
If you encounter any issues with your router, this troubleshooting guide will help you resolve common problems.
Unable to Access the Router Admin Panel
- Check if your device has obtained an IP address. If not, try removing and reinserting the Ethernet cable or restarting the network.
- Set your device to “obtain IP address automatically” and “obtain DNS server address automatically”.
- If you are connecting via Ethernet, check if the network cable is properly plugged into the router’s LAN port.
- Make sure you enter http://192.168.8.1 correctly in the web address bar.
- Try turning the router off and then on again, or perform a restart.
No Internet Access After Setting Up the Router
- Ensure that the Ethernet cable is securely plugged into the router’s WAN port.
- Connect your device directly to the upstream device via an Ethernet cable to check if you can access the internet.
- Ensure your device has obtained an IP address. If using PPPoE dial-up, double-check that your username and password are correct.
- If the interface indicates “connected, but the network is unavailable,” try removing and reinserting the Ethernet cable or check your upstream device.
Unable to Connect the Router to the GL.iNet App
- Make sure your GL.iNet App is updated to the latest version.
- Confirm that your phone is connected to the router’s Wi-Fi network.
- Make sure the router is fully powered on and has completed its startup, then try scanning again in the App.
Forgot the Admin Panel Password
- With the router powered on, press and hold the reset button.
- Release the button when the touch screen displays “Release to Reset Mode”, and wait for the device to restart and the touch screen to return to the initial interface displaying ‘GLiNet. (Note: Reset Mode clears all your existing settings.)
- After it restarts, log in to the web admin panel (http://192.168.8.1) and reset the router’s password.
Forgot the Wi-Fi Network Password
- If you haven’t changed the Wi-Fi password, you can find the password on the product label located on the bottom of the router.
- If you have changed the Wi-Fi password before, connect your device to the router’s web admin panel via an Ethernet cable, then view or modify your Wi-Fi password in the Admin Panel.
WARRANTY
- We provide two-year limited warranty for routers and 3-month limited warranty for accessories.
- Extra warranty may apply according to the local law in which the product purchase took place.
- Any damage to the router caused by not following the instructions will render this warranty null and void.
- Any damage to the router caused by modifying the PCBA, components or case will render this warranty null and void.
- Issues caused by the use of third-party firmware may not get official support from us.
- Any damage to the router caused by inappropriate use, e.g. inappropriate voltage input, high temperature, dropping in the water or on the ground will render this warranty null and void.
