How to set it up?
- Upon startup, the device will attempt to connect to the network based on the recorded WiFi information. If the connection fails, it will enter AP (Access Point) mode and activate its own hotspot named “GIFTV.” If the connection is successful, it will enter STA (Station) mode and disable its own hotspot.
- When you first power on the device, it will be in AP mode. In this state, use your smartphone to connect to the WiFi network named “GIFTV” (some phones may show a “no internet” warning; please ignore this). Then, open a web browser and visit the console address http://192.168.4.1. This will take you to the web-based control panel for configuration.
- Tips: If you can’t visit that IP after all the correct steps, please try close your mobile data first, some smart phone will block the WiFi if it find the WiFi is not internet available.
- First, click on “Network,” and select “Scan” to search for nearby WiFi hotspots. Choose your WiFi network and enter the password to save it. The device will then restart to establish a WiFi connection. If the connection is successful, the IP address after connecting will be displayed on the screen. You can make a note of this address, but it’s not necessary as it will be shown every time after successful connection upon startup.
- Next, use your smartphone or computer to connect to the same WiFi network(Your own WiFi network). Once connected, open a web browser and enter the new IP address. This will take you back to the configuration page, where you can make additional personalized settings.
