The KINGrinder P0 is a lightweight manual hand coffee grinder designed for portability and consistent grinding. It features a durable stainless steel conical burr and offers precise grind size adjustments for various brewing methods.

2. Com-pàirtean

The KINGrinder P0 consists of the following main components:

  • Corp Grinder: The main housing containing the burr assembly.

  • Catch Cup: Bottom container for collecting ground coffee.

3. Suidhich

The KINGrinder P0 features a stepped adjustment mechanism. To change the grind size:

  1. Ensure the catch cup is removed.
  2. Locate the adjustment dial at the bottom of the burr assembly.
  3. Turn the dial clockwise for a finer grind and counter-clockwise for a coarser grind. Each click represents a 0.0333mm change in particle size. The grinder offers 30 clicks per full rotation.
  4. Reattach the catch cup once the desired setting is selected.

4.2 Recommended Grind Settings (Approximate)

The following are approximate starting points for various brewing methods. Fine-tuning may be required based on your specific beans and preference:

  • Moka Pot / AeroPress: Approximately 20 clicks from the finest setting.
  • Dòirt thairis: Approximately 22-30 clicks from the finest setting.
  • Clò na Frainge: Approximately 35-40 clicks from the finest setting.

4.3 Pròiseas Bleith

  1. Luchdaich Pònairean: Open the top lid and pour up to 20g of whole coffee beans into the grinder chamber.
  2. Ceangail Làimhseachadh: Ensure the handle is securely attached to the grinder shaft.
  3. Grid: Hold the grinder body firmly and turn the handle clockwise to begin grinding. Continue until all beans have passed through the burrs.
  4. Cruinneachadh Talamh: Unscrew the catch cup from the bottom of the grinder to retrieve your freshly ground coffee.

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your KINGrinder P0.

  1. Disassembly: The grinder can be easily disassembled without tools. Simply unscrew the catch cup, then carefully remove the burr assembly components.
  2. Glanadh: Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any residual coffee grounds from the burrs and internal components. Avoid using water or harsh detergents, as this can damage the burrs and internal mechanisms.

  • Dealan Statach: If ground coffee clings to the catch cup due to static, a small amount of water (a single drop) can be added to the whole beans before grinding. This technique, known as the Ross Droplet Technique (RDT), can significantly reduce static.
  • Grìosadh neo-chunbhalach: Ensure the adjustment dial is set correctly and securely. If the burr assembly feels loose, re-check the assembly steps.
  • Difficulty Grinding: If grinding becomes difficult, check for foreign objects in the burr chamber. Ensure beans are not excessively oily, which can cause clogging.
